June 2007 Rate/Code Watch

Southernson - Sorry to hear that the AAA discount was not available for your trip. Did you check if it was available for the first part or second part of your trip? You could possibly book it as two reservations and get the discount for part of the trip at least.

Hopefully, we will see a public code or an AP rate sometime in the next couple months.:surfweb:

Just to let you know I called today to book and they told me no more AAA discounts available for 2 bedroom at BWV for week of July 15. Any suggestions:mad:

A few suggestions: Have you considered renting DVC points from the trade board, that will save you a TON, are your dates flexible, for us we went forward 2 days and were able to save, you could call your agent and have them check a few days on either side. Could you go to another resort and see if it is available, what about Beach Club 2 bedroom?
Lesley

Thanks for the info. I hope it works. I would like to save. We are not rich, but when I told my little girl we were going the smile on her face was pricless.:yay:

P.S. Tried to rent points but could not get anyone to contact me. I guess low post and they do not know me

Do you all think we are out of luck since the "codes" skipped us???????

Last year we almost moved our vacation to June (thankfully we didn't and got that fab AP rate at the BC).

Anyone else a little on the worried side???? It may be off-site for us for the 1st time if something doesn't show soon :sad2:

I hope not!! Even if it's not 40% I'd love to get something. I have the Poly booked for mid July AAA rates, but it is still a lot of money. If I had known this promo was coming out I'd have considered Aug., but we have airline tickets and have taken vacation time etc.. Keep your fingers crossed and hope for some pixie dust.....:goodvibes

Just got a post card in the mail with a pin # but it is not good for my dates in July. My luck

I don't mean to be nosey but where did the postcard with pin# come from? That would be my luck too! I am so hoping for a code for my dates in July.

As I not-so-patiently await any code or AP rates, I'm contemplating transferring my reservation from CRO to a TA. I've never done that before, but I'm thinking maybe two set of eyes looking for an applicable code or AP rate will be better than my single pair.

Anyone have any experience with transfering reservations? Do the TA's get a commission? What kind of control am I losing? If I were to find the code or AP rate before the TA, could I still have it applied directly? Or, after transfer, would I have to go through my TA?

Minnie,

What was that rate last July? I remember the only AP rates last July being at the Epcot resorts.

Epcot resorts july '06 Ap rates were $189.00+ tax

Which resorts are considered to be the Epcot resorts?

Boardwalk Inn, Beach Club & Yacht Club had those awesome deals last summer. The codes for this discount came out mid May, I believe. We had a great water view YC room for about $250/nt.

Keep hoping!!!

This us correct we stayed at the Beach Club and had an awesome view of the Epcot fireworks for $189+tax a night :cool1:

Just subbing...we have to be in Orlando from July 30th to August 9th for the AMTC, and I'd much rather stay at Disney than the Gaylord Palms (For the price, we CAN stay cheaper...which amazed me!) So I'm hoping to suprise everyone with a split stay ...AKL and PO...

crossing my fingers!! :cloud9:

:flower3:

Bumping... We need a room for two nights after our DCL cruise and we wanted to go to the World. I called last night and POP was with tax(and a little change) 136. per night, preferred room. I'm going to wait and call DVC member services on monday to see if I can get OKW for a decent price. If I am going to have to pay this much for POP, might as well see if I can get a bigger room and better pool since the other post stated a rate at one of the other places of 180.00 something.
