i am aiming for june 20-27 pofq but waiting desperately on those codes to get a better rate than 133$/night. ...

Have you been quoted $133.00 per night? Cheapest I've found so far is rack rate of $149.00, $166.14 w/tax.

I will be at the Swan and Dolphin along with thousands of High school students June 23-28 for the FBLA National Leadership Conference. High School Students from all over the Nation and beyond will be there :earseek:

Better you then me. Glad were going June 7th to June 16th. Anything we need to know about?

I purchased an annual pass last July because I was planning to return in Nov. (had a great time) and June! Well, DH found out yesterday he may need back surgery so DD and I are putting our plans on hold till we talk to the surgeon in Feb. and see what he has to say. Any extra pixie dust anyone wants to send our way would be wonderful! Although we would miss the trip, our main concern is we really would like to avoid back surgery and still find DH some relief from the pain.

I'm glad that i'm not going that week!!!

I have been putting warnings out on these boards off and on. 4 years ago when we were there some poor gentleman was demanding to be moved because he did not want to be around so many teenagers.

Don't get me wrong. FBLA students are very well behaved. Most of the week they are running around in business atire competing. But like all teenagers, they are loud and love to get together in the lobbies, hallways and food places. The pool area will be VERY crowded!

Laz,

Not for nothing, I'm still going teenagers or not(will have 2 with me anyway) but we come in on the 29th of June (will they be gone by then)? Which resort will the masses be staying at?

Not complaining just trying to plan around them.

Thanks Lisa

I got a quote of 133.00 last night through the UnionVacations.com that was for room only for nine days 13-21 Jun. They didn't ask me but I think you have to belong to a union to get this rate. I still don't know if it is a good deal or not. I forgot to ask if you can change if a better rate comes out.

Sending pixie dust your way. I can sympathize, been there. Husband has been permanently disabled for the past 5 years due to his back and foot. He has been fighting back issues since 1982 when his first surgery was 3 weeks prior to our wedding. He was able to stand for the ceremony but I was prepared to stick him in a wheelchair. He has sat the last two trips to DW out but he has planned on going on this one. I have scheduled our 9 night stay around resting in between park visits in order to give him a break. The only think that I know that will be a real problem is that he does not sleep well. In those small Disney rooms this ought to be fun! Best of luck to you and your husband.

Both the Swan and Dolphin will be used by FBLA. While FBLA checks out on the 29, the college division (Phi Beta Lamda) checks in for 5 nights. I do not think they bring as many, but you will be dealing with College students instead of High School.

That is what I was quoted too, $166/per night. We are going June 6-10, longer if we get a better rate. We are staying at the POR. Hurry June!!!

Thanks Laz, Good to know. We will be at POR so I don't think we will be in their way. Not too mention I believe college folk will be more apt to frequent PI. Which we won't be going to.

Have fun everyone and hope to see a few Dis'ers there.

MAC3-Lisa,
We will be there at the exact same time as you and at Old Key West too... Maybe we'll run into each other sometime..

The Boys Sconts of America is be there June 12 through June 19 at WDW. Do know which resort we staying at yet.

We're going June 4-12 and have reservations at POP @ $110 per night including tax. If we got a code we might upgrade to a moderate but the more I read about POP the more it sounds like a great place to try! :cheer2:

Liz,
It is great. We stayed at Pop last summer for 6 nights and are returning again this time. We loved Pop. We thought the decades and music they had playing was fun, colorful, and the kids loved it. Our young kids also loved the splash fountain area, and the kiddie pool is great with the zero entry and fountains, the pool areas and food court are great at Pop. I know you will enjoy your stay. We'll actually be there at the same time. (we're going June 4-10th)
Lesley

Cool! Thanks Lesley! Maybe we'll see you there! Do you know what area you are requesting? I'm thinking of wording mine something like "non-smoking, 70's near main pool, 4th floor". How's that sound?

Liz,
That request sounds awesome. I didn't focus on a request this time or last and we ended up in a great place. I just tell them when we get there what we would love because we check in early. Last time we were there at 1 p.m and got a great room on the 4th floor in the 50's section facing poolside and it was a great place to be. I liked being on the 4th floor, no one above us running around. the 50's or 70's section is where I would recommend. I personally want 70's this time for a change and to be close to the splash fountains and closer to the kiddie pool for my kids. 50's and 70's are the closest to the food court and transportation outside of the preferred section 60's. I thought the 80's and especially the 90's were just too far out there, cool sections, just too long to walk I really hope we don't get stuck there.
Have a GREAT time I know you will love PoP.
Lesley

Just got my rooms changed to $59/night! However, I had to switch from ASMo to POP. I thought I could get the same reservation just changed to the better price. Oh well. I was kinda bummed out about it, but its good to hear you say such nice things about POP. The CM said something about Jungle Book, is there a Jungle Book bldg, or is it just part of the 80's? Will that be an OK area?
