June 1st is a Sunday.... Will our Guide be available?

We have a June use year for our current contracts, and when we called earlier this month to do a BCV add-on with MB, we were told that we'd need to wait until 6/1 to make the purchase.

Since we have not needed to reach our guide very often, we've never tried to get him on a weekend. What has your experience been - have you been able to initiate transactions on a weekend, or will we just end up leaving a message and hearing back on Monday? That is the part that concerns me a bit - the 6/1 BWV points being made available to the general public. I'm concerned that MS will be so busy that it may bog things down.

I've never tried calling my guide on a Sunday. She is available every other day though.

You can call your guide before June 1st and let him/her know to process it on June 1st.

There is a rotation schedule for walk-in tours and they obviously always have the option of coming in to catch up on work. I would call your guide now and touch base.

I feel sure your guide would make her/himself available any day to make your contract work.

I guess it was kinda silly to ask anyone other than him...

DH spoke with him in early May and he said "call me on June 1st", but I don't think either one realized at that point that the 1st is a Sunday.

I was getting nervous due to all the talk about the BWV points selling out quickly, but I don't think that will have any bearing on our BCV add-on.

Regardless, we'll just follow up on the 28th to be certain everything is square.

The DVC guides do work on Sunday. Whether or not your particular guide is scheduled to work that day, we couldn't tell you. I would call him just before that and ensure that he understands what you want. Then, he can ensure that you don't miss out. However, I doubt it would be a problem anyway.

DVC Guides work on a rotating days off so that their days off are diffrent from week to week

example: week1 off sun mon
week 2 off sat sun
week 3 off fri sat ect ect

We signed our contracts on a Sun., made an appt. ahead of time...not a problem except our guide kept yawning...I got the feeling she wasn't used to being there on a Sun morn!
