June 19, 20020 -Disney sea closing early

We plan on being in TDR from June 18-22 this year. I am looking at the calendar on the TDR site and see that on our first DS day, the park is scheduled to close at 6:30pm. I can't find any more info in regard to why the park is closing early that day (Friday). Does anyone have any inside info?

So, you're spending five days at TDR? If so, I wouldn't worry about DisneySea closing early one day - you'll need an early night or two. And it will give you a chance to check out Bon Voyage, their Downtown Disney (Ikspiri?) or perhaps visit some of the hotels (e.g. you could have a cocktail or dinner in the restaurant at Miracosta which overlooks DisneySea).

Usually it's a private event. Since you have 5 days, you can just go to Disneyland that day instead if the early closing is a concern.
