June 15 - June 22 2013 Eastern Fantasy

I just saw post #92 with the suggested names. I think we must acknowledge the dads with the Father's Day Eastern Fantasy! Maybe we could call ourselves the Father's Day Eastern Fantasy Fanatics :confused3 I think the Stitch on a hammock graphic goes well with the Father's Day theme. :thumbsup2 Any other opinions?

Also, TIG, I was going through the thread and comparing it to the roll call to try to get to know everyone, and TeenaS with her big wedding party is not on the list, FYI.

Can anyone who's sailed on the Dream tell me if there are hairdryers? I mean actual HAIRDRYERS? Much appreciated :worship:

You are correct in that I missed TeenaS. Sorry must have had a brain fade. Apologies to TeenaS. Hopefully she'll still let us crash the wedding. :rotfl2::lmao:

Sorry I can not help you with the hair dryer since I have not been on the Dream. I can help you after June 23rd after I go on the Fantasy this summer. We will also be in WDW on the 20th-23rd prior to the cruise so we will miss you. Have a great time.

I like the Father's day theme (ok being a father of two biased my opinion) but I am open to other ideas. So everyone please chime in. We used the Stitch theme on my last cruise and eveyone loved it. I think some were tired of the same pirate themes. Oh well here is another graphic we could use if anyone comes up with a good name.

Ahoy, Matey! I've met some fabulous fellow educators on all my cruises; I guess this one will continue the tradition. I took a peek at your travel blog and found another commonality: we have spent many a day out with Thomas! In fact, we'll be doing another one in Baltimore at the end of this month. Each time I think one will be my last, DS just can't say good-bye to that "really useful engine"!

At any rate, your little ones are adorable, and maybe our paths will cross in WDW this summer! :thumbsup2

BTW, cruisers, doe we want to come up with a name for our meet group? TIGGER/POOH4, you remember we were the DIS Magic Maytees in May of 2008, don't you? Last summer I cruised with SpongeBob on the NCL Jewel, and we were the Jewel Junebugs. Anyone want to toss around some ideas for our fabulous, fantastic, June Fantasy group? (Alliteration optional...) :teacher:

Yes, we will be doing Thomas again this year in Grapevine, Texas! My kids love it, and while it is ok for me, they love it for some reason :rotfl: Thanks so much, and yes perhaps we will run into each other this summer.

I am pretty open with names. I think that another poster said, as long as we remember the guys. But I do like the June Fantasy Group. Anything has my vote :thumbsup2

Anybody that first seating dining and their rotation is Royal Court on Sunday will be part of the wedding since we'll be all going to dinner right after the ceremony and celebration. My daughter, Jeanne, will still be in her Disney wedding dress so you can't miss us all. (At least we assume it will be a Disney wedding dress since we have an appointment next month with Alfred Angello to try on Disney dresses.) And it would be wonderful if all of you stop by and say hello!!!

We're up to 10 cabins ... some could cancel and some might be added. Only definites are Jeanne and Brian (bride and groom), Bob and Teena (her parents) and Therese and Phil (Brian's parents). Oh and I'm 99% sure Fred and Lois won't be cancelling ... our best friends.

WELCOME!!!:yay:

Sailed the dream last year and bought my own hairdryer and glad I did. They have them but they are the common portable ones you see in all hotels!

Thanks!:thumbsup2 Are there still no plugs in the bathroom for hairdryers? I rise and shower far earlier than my boys and drying my hair at the desk is a problem. :guilty:

Cool. :cool1::cool1: We like to schedule the formal dining room (Royal Court for the Fantasy and the ERA rotation) for formal night and also schedule early dining. So we will be there on Sunday and hopefully get a chance to stop and congratulate the bride/groom and the parents. :thumbsup2
Any chance we'll be able to see the dress if the groom is not on the DIS? :happytv:

Absolutely. Once we order it, I'll post a picture.

Good morning, fellow Father's Day Fantasy Eastern Fanatics! (Just trying it on for size...let me know what you think :confused3) I'm super excited that the Fantasy MV cruisers will be back tomorrow, and we'll start getting some trippies about the new ship. :yay: There will be even more excitement in a week when the first Fantasy Eastern cruisers come back and start posting their trippies!

I'm already steeply into planning mode. I've started gathering my magnet graphics and even found a dress for formal night. DS is game for going full pirate on pirate night like we did on the Magic in 2008. Might as well get more use out of the costumes!

What excursions are folks looking at? I was thinking of sailing on the Lord Sheffield in St. Maarten and doing Coral World in St. Thomas. Anyone ever done either of these? At Castaway Cay I thought we'd just rent a tube and a float, maybe try an Aqua Trike, and I will spend some time snorkeling.

If anyone is interested, if you want to friend me on fb (Bobbi James), I will make a group for this cruise, and we can share pics and info there. :thumbsup2

Magnet graphics, is that for maybe FE??? LOL! :lmao:

I haven't started planning excursions yet! I was hoping for some of those great trip reports and a new Passporters guide! :)

I'll FB friend you. I'm under Joan Banuat Selvaggi!!! :lovestruc

Not so funny! You've given away one of my secrets :rolleyes1...I've already got several fun and crafty ideas for FE gifts.

BTW, when we cruised on the Magic, we ordered neon green rubber bracelets that folks picked up at the Meet n Greet. It made it easier for members of our group to spot one another when we were out and about. If anyone's interested, I'd be willing to take care of doing this for our group. :)

Sounds like you more ready to go on this cruise that is over a year then we are on our cruise that is two months away. :rotfl2::rotfl2::lmao: The FE on that cruise has 60 cabins and around 200 DISsers :worship: We are working overtime for that one. :lmao:
I can help you with some planning. Please see below for a link to my trip report from our last cruise in October. Even though it was the Magic the itinerary is the same. The navigators are included.

For excusions the only thing we are thinking of planning is the Bernard's tour in St Maarten.

Sounds awesome. :cool1::cool1: Are the bride and groom going to get a mickey ear vail and top hat. We saw that on one cruise and the couple wore them the whole cruise. :goodvibes

Jeanne has her's already but she said Brian won't wear one. We have over a year to work on him though.

Tell him it's a Disney cruise/wedding. Turn him to the Mickey side of the force. Resistance is futile :lmao::lmao::rotfl2::rotfl2:

He's a tough one to crack! Poor man ... he had no choice as to where the wedding would be. Well, that's not true. If he wanted to pay for it himself, I assume he could have it elsewhere. But with Bob and I paying for it, he had very little choice and of course Jeanne is a true Disney girl so I think it would have been hard to get her on board with anything but a Disney wedding. We love the Disney cruises so it was a natural choice. Bob and I leave on the Disney Magic one week from today. Can't wait!

Didn't you know, I'm a card carrying member of CPA? No, I'm not an accountant. That would be Compulsive Planners Anonymous. Hello, my name is Bobbi, and I'm a planner. :lmao: Since the WDW vacation we're taking in June is pretty much all planned, I'm so happy to have another vacation upon which to turn my attention! Thanks for the Navs; :worship: that'll give me something to chew on for a while!

Poor man! He's marrying into a family that's forcing him to spend a week being pampered and spoiled while sailing to several tropical paradises. :sad1: Where can I sign up? Enjoy your Magic-al cruise!

To all you facebookers, we've got our group set up, but it's a little lonely right now with just Joan and me. Please come and join us!
