Hi everyone here goes my attempts at a trip report I should tell you from JUNE 12 to JUNE 15 my reports will be about the journey we took to attend a Wedding in Bowling Green Kentucky - The Disney part was a surprise to my kids !
Date June 13 - Day 2 Driving Bryon Ga to Bowling Green Ky
Cast = Me - 32 Is a Disney Geek according to Friends and Family
Megan - 9.5 Need I say more , Doesn't like thrill rides very much.
Kyle - 6.5 Easy going kid most of the time - LOVES thrill rides
We we are up at 6:30 kids get to swim till 7 then we change and eat the free continental breakfast - Krispy Kremes, cereal , toast and an apple for Megan - Just Toast and a half of a Bonnine for Kyle - Krispy Kreme and banana for me with 2 cups of Coffee !
We are on the road by 8 am .. Its a little after 10 when we get to Atlanta - HOLY COW 8 LANES OF TRAFFIC PER SIDE !! - we are still 2 hours from my Friend in Chattanooga and she is going to work at noon - so we miss her completely . ( its ok she is coming up 4th of july week to visit her parents I will catch her here then) We plug on stoping for potty and lunch after we get through Chattanooga. I think I am on I-24 now its very pretty through here ! finally I see signs for Nashville WHOO HOO we only have an hour left - I didnt' know that there was a time change .. we got there at 2pm CST . I am sooo glad the driving for now is done - its been a really long 2 days.
We check into the Travelodge in Bowling Green Ky where all the out of town guest are for the wedding ( this is my Ex's Nephew's Wedding ) and we are close to the pool and on the first floor ( just down the hall from where the reception is being held tomorrow ) we meet up with some of the Family they are scattered thoughout the hotel ( we will be on the same floor as my Ex and his girlfriend, His mom and dad, His brother and His Sister - I guess we all have the same last name so they grouped us at least on the same floor - thankfully not right next to my EX ) Meg and Kyle are glad to see their Dad while they are swimming. we have to get ready for the rehearsal dinner at 7 . ( we eat snacks before we go ) we go to this nice little rest. and they make Champagne chicken, Roast beef, Red bliss potatos, veggies, rolls, and wonderful desserts - pecan caramel cheesecake and Derby pie ( kind of like toll house cookie pie w/ chocolate chips , pecans and yummy crust ! ) I am pretty beat but we are invited over to the bride's mother's house - its just a mile down the street . so off we go, then back to the hotel around 11pm ! I am Beat !!!! we do get to sleep in tomorrow thankfully and I don't have to drive anyplace !!!
