June 12 2005 Disney Wonder

Welcome, Susie! :wave2: My 10 year old DD is always looking to make new friends! :sunny:

I miss the old countdown clocks. :( It was so nice to see the hours, minutes, and seconds ticking down until the cruise.

Dude! you guys missed the 3 month mark, where is everyone?!?! K well its a little passed, but woohoo 3 months to go :earboy2: ok well, i guess i will let my mom get back to this little thing of hers. Later

I booked us on the Catamaran sail and reef snorkeling tour. I also tried to book my DS on the teen Junkanoo Jam but CM told me that Disney did away with that excursion. What a shame! DS really enjoyed that when we did our 7 day western last year. Oh well, I did get him in the Castaway Cay Wildside excursion. He overslept and missed it last year!

pirate: I will be dressing my son on pirate attire---I will probably get some sort of shirt and maybe a eye patch.... :Pinkbounc

We have only one boy in our group, my sister's GS who is 3 1/2. I have told her about pirate night. I hope she puts together a costume for him.

I'm going to watch Pirates of the Caribbean again. Only this time, instead of focusing on Captain Jack Sparrow, I'll be paying attention to how the females are dressed. I've got the hoop earrings! pirate:

My daughter wants to dressup also. She'll be 20 on the cruise.

Hello, just spoted this. We are scheduled for this trip also. Of course, we were scheduled for one in late December but were bumped at the airport and couldn't get out. Now we find that ATA now longer is flying to Orlando. Well, this time at least we can always drive down.
Last time we were on this forum, there was only one other person who posted. Glad to see that there are a bunch here. We are taking DD who will be 13 a few weeks after the cruise. So she is happy that she can move up to the teen club. We haven't done a cruise before, so we are really looking forward to this. We'll do a few nights before, and at least one after the cruise. Thanks to whoever started this. Hope to see you soon.
J.

I'd like to put a recap of who is all sailing on our cruise on the first page of this thread. It'll be there for easy reference for all of us.

If you are interested, please PM me with whatever details you want me to post, such as your names, ages of kids, etc.

Thanks!

Laura

A PM is a private message. If you click on a person's username, it should come up with an option to send them a private message. You may have to go to your User CP and check your profile to see if you are set up to send and receive PM's.

Thank you for your help, Laura. I'm not set up to send or receive PM. I was receiving about 20 e-mails a day which was annoying my husband so I have chosen no e-mail notification. Perhaps this is why I can't PM.

Looking forward to meeting everyone, Sue

Sue, I can still include your information on the recap on the first page. Just post here what you want me to include, and I'll copy it to the recap.

Hey everyone. PM The LK 4 with your info so that we can have everything in one post, please.

The LK4, thanks for doing this. It will be handy to have everyone listed at once.

Thanks, The LK4 :flower:

That is interesting. I was on the Magic before with 8 of us sitting to dinner at a late shift. Dinner always took at least 1.5 hours. It could have been us, but it was slow. However, we had a lot to talk about so it wasn't unpleasant. I had the impression that the kitchen was the reason for the length of the meal. Maybe staggering the meals lets the kitchen catch up. I know our group was big on the special requests: DS14 -- meat, no vegetables, definitely no sauce
and my DS16 -- no vegetables, no sauce, come think of it no meat, just bring him bread, plain bread.... I don't think we were the only table with "special kitchen instructions."

This time we are traveling with 6 people, so maybe it will be faster.

Good morning everyone!
Sharon, Austin, and I are getting our pirate costumes together. Are we going to be the only ones dressed up?

I'd be glad to do that. But I have no idea what you are talking about.

On the first page of this thread, I've been putting all of our names in one post so it's easier to see who is sailing with us.

I think I will try to get some pirate gear. Maybe lots of bandanas, beads and things... I was trying to figure out what rotation I should request. I am thinking of asking for LAP. Any other picks out there?

Also that dolphin encounter in Nassau sounds pretty neat...
