Happy Easter!

I think it's Easter. We had 10 inches of snow fall on Friday! Crazy weather. It had been in the fifties on Wednesday.

Sorry I've been out of touch. I have been doing follow up tests & thus far they still don't think anything is wrong w/ my heart. Kay is right you should never be alone at a hospital. The hospital I was at was over an hour away from where I live. Scott is healing well. We still have to watch him. It's the end of the quarter, so I have a lot of grading to do.

Christine--We love the Kalahari. There's one in the WI Dells that we stayed at once. We are spending one night at a new water park only 45 minutes away in 2 weeks. Liam invited his 2 BFFs. It should be fun.

Kay--We would love it if we could meet up. We're pretty flexible, except the mornings of Star Wars weekend. The boys are looking forward to meeting the actors who played & . Good luck w/ cataract surgery.

Char--I'm glad you had a nice beach weekend.

Marion--Thank you for the prayers. That means a lot to me.

HAPPY EASTER​

Crazy weekend so far. Going over to Brenda's today for a family gathering. Should be fun.

Yesterday I got a big box of gold jewelry (chains, watches, rings, etc) and took it out to sell. I got $1,138 for it. That didn't even include the gold chains that I have that I didn't take time to gather up. I'll take them out next weekend. There is a thread going on that got me thinking about it. The company just happened to be here in Ft. Lauderdale and I called them.

It was just "stuff" that was sitting around and I haven't worn it in years. I'll never miss it. The gentleman was very nice and I spent about 3 hours talking to him. He explained to me the process of everything. Very informative.

TV in my b/room blacked out on me and I had somene come out and take it to the shop to get fixed. It is a 30" LCD Plasma and only 2 years old. Hopefully it can be fixed. IF not, I go to Costco and buy another one. Not a necessity, but I watch TV in bed a lot and fall asleep. I'll know on Monday if it is fixable or not.

Come January all TV's have to be HD - so last month when I had to get the new big screen for the main room, I got a 60" Sony HD and it is beautiful. Hopefully it will last about 15 years like the last one did.

Sorry I rambled on - off to Brenda's house. She just called.

sorry im late...

well we are not on spring break for another 2 weeks [when we will be going to mexico ] but i am sick today. i got a nasty sore throat, aching head, and fever from my brother who had it all weekend.

we got guitar hero 3 for easter! we have really enjoyed playing it!!!!

Hello Everyone!

Happy Belated Easter! I hope you all had a wonderful day! Ours was very nice - gathered with family, had good food, laughed hysterically at the grandpa's trying to play the Wii.

I didn't realize Christine had already posted to our thread today. So you know our basement is coming along -- slowly but surely. So many decisions to make! I feel like I spend A LOT of time online, doing research on products and looking at pictures of what others have done.

I mainly got on here to see if everyone is ok from all the weather and flooding. We have wind today, and some rain/snow on the way, but nothing crazy like 10 inches of snow or anything. Take care, everyone! Stay safe!

To those that are DVC members can you please help me out in complaining to DVC about the new $95 fee. I feel strongly that this is ridiculous to make more money off of us after we already pay HUGE points to stay there for a night or two.

Hey guys!! Sorry it has been awhile. We just got back from St. Petersburg Beach inFL. IT was a lot of fun. We went to Busch Gardens too and that was fun. They have a lot of great roller coasters!! Tom and Em made it to Chicago the 21st to see Avril Lavigne and then back home on the 22nd and fly out that evening to Fl. They had a great time. Then as we are driving home from the airport last night we hear on the radio that Avril Lavigne and the Jonas bros. are having a special concert here this summer!!!! Guess what we bought when we got home She is soooooo excited!!!!

Kay just emailed me and told me 3Dan (Bill) and family are going to be on our cruise this summer!!! That will be fun!!

Well I better clean and finish laundry and finish unpacking and go to the grocery and........... you know the rest.........

yes, Kim - Bill was happy also. He is so looking forward to seeing you again.

He is taking Mam Maw with him again. 102 YO. Can you believe that. He is doing the 6/1 and the one right afterwards, for a B2B. He asked me to go and I told him that I had the Germany trip right after that and could not do the whole month in traveling. He knew it, but just forgot. He also canceled the DVC Member cruise - that one is not important anyways. The incentives they give you are hardly nothing or the same that is offered to everyone eventually anyways. The room gifts are junk anymore also. Just items to put in a drawer and you can always get them off e-bay for cheap and not paying hundreds of dollars to go on the cruise. Other cruise lines are looking better and better to me for the price.

I'm so jealous. That's so awesome Mammaw is going again. I wish I could go this June w/ you guys, but I'm not up for flying to CA anyway. We have WDW planned b/c we want to make the most of our APs. I have 2 free tickets & 2 sale price tickets, so if we're careful on our food it shouldn't be too expensive of at trip.

I'm not sure if I told you this, but Scott got laid off again. Most of the Motorolans who got hired at Allstate last year or the year before were let go--so he'll be competing w/ similar people again. Friday was his last day. Please keep him in your prayers this week. It will be hard for him to be home along all day job hunting while we're off at school.

I just pray he finds full-time not contract/consulting this time & it's something that will challenge him & fulfill him.

I never went into ed for the job security, but I do appreciate it now.

Back to the grading I didn't have enought time to do this week. I pray I can get it all done today. Yuck! I love teaching. It's the grading that kills me.

Their cruise is out of Port Canaveral, not CA. Will that make it easier

I am just too excited about the Germany trip. Trying not to pysch myself until I get closer.

Just got back from grocery shopping. It's raining but not hard. I just walked back and forth to the store and got wet, but it is only water. I'll dry out.

Hi Friends!!!

Missed you! Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter. We have been away since 3/20. It was a long trip. I will post details later, but have a lot of work to do at school. Overall our cruise was wonderful. Being with the 2 other families from our school/church was a lot of fun. I will come back and post as a reward for getting the paperwork I need to get down finished. Keeping everyone in our prayers!

Marion--Nice to hear from you. A teacher's paperwork is only truly done once a year: SUMMER. Patrick looked at all my papers spread out & said "MOM! Are you ever going to be done grading? How many students do you have?" When I said over 100, he just shook his head. He still thinks one always stays w/ one small class all day.

Tell us all about your trip when you have time.

Kay--I thought the Magic was in CA or is it the Med this summer? Is he doing B2B Wonder cruises? Ooooh it's so tempting. I know I got away in Feb, but this awful weather is making me long for warmer climates. I never thought I'd like to live somewhere other than Chicago, but this winter has me dreaming of retiring somewhere warmer.

I am so excited for mexico. beyond excited! i need to go do nothing for a while. soon i will be laying on the beach reading a magazine and listening to the waves crash. we are also swimming with dolphins a week for today! that should be fabulous!
