Hello Everyone!

Our snow day yesterday was a nice treat - I hope the rest of you enjoyed yours! Ours was called because there was an inch of ice when the busses had to leave. If they'd have gone with a 2-hour delay, everything would have been fine. Our district has never done the delay-thing, though I'm not sure why. Not much snow at all. I shoveled slush.

Our basement is coming along - soon it will look like a real room! It's not too annoying or disruptive. Our dog has gone downstairs to have lunch with the guys every day, so he can beg for food.

Just came back from sushi lunch to see MyTom off to London (again). It was VERY delicious! Now I need to finish gathering the info for Christine's applications.

So many of you going to Disney or on a cruise! Please post here so the rest of us can live vicariously through your travels!

Hi guys!

I didn't get a snow day, but my boys did--luckily Scott was able to work from home. I can't wait to get to FL, but I'm not ready. The weather is taking up too much of my life. Thursday night's drive home 2 hours wiped me out. Scott's took 3. Friday I had to shovel twice to get out of my driveway.

We had Blue & Gold for Cub Scouts this weekend, so I was busy getting things ready for that. Liam crossed over & is a boy scout now. I am so proud of him. He got his superachiever award too for earning every pin possible as a Weeblo.

I've been driving my Mom in & out of the city too much also:

picked her up Tues night
drove her home Fri night
picked her up late Sat night
drove her home this afternoon

will pick her up Tues night for our trip----we leave Wed

Dee: I'm sorry I haven't gotten the bear in the mail. I can't seem to get to the post office when it's open. I'm forever running late or stuck on snow covered roads.

Kay: Congrats on the new tv

The roads were bad here again tonight after the Super Bowl. I shoveled again.


No more snow......I want to go to WDW.


Too much that I stayed up late doing.......I'm going to sleep! YAWN!

Snow is melting away quickly here. Bad fog today. I really enjoyed our snow day off! Mary- so sorry that you didn't get one... keep focused on your trip to the sunshine state, hopefully that will help you get through!!!!

Charlene- your warm voice sure brightened my snowy day on Friday! Keep Stacy working on Paul.... I am feeling very confident that you will all somehow end up at WDW with us in May!!!!!

Dee- I know what you mean about the ice and waiting to start things later. Our schools don't tend to have late starts either, we either go we stay home, nothing much in between.

Kay- John would be really jealous of your tv our basement one is going out and he is hinting big time!!

Good Morning!

We had a great night here last night. Our past 2 Mondays have been very stressful with DH and DD and homework!
DH was at work until 9:40 last night. . .his job is more stressful as "the project" is being put in motion (going live). Say a prayer that we survive the next few weeks (months) as we see all this work for years going into the system. (I know that is confusing but I'm so ready for DH to have another project to manage!)

DD was so uptight last night she could sleep. . .it was near 11 before she was asleep. . .that means she will be a BEAR this a.m.!

Marion. . .DH has state that we (me and DD) need to lay off the hints for WDW in May! DD will loose money each time she mentions it. . .so I'm trying not to mention it to help her not think about it. . .but I know he is considering it. After this project is up and running. . .he'll be ready for some time off!

Kim . . .hoping to see you in May.

GOING VOTE TODAY! Stacy has been "voting" with me since birth. She say I can't go today until after school. She is all into the political thing. She has been asking who we are voting for. . .I think it is all most . . .who are we voting against!

Happy Super/Fat Tuesday.... just couldn't resist

Got up early and voted. 1 less thing on my to do list today. John is in Dallas, so the girls and I will be busy tonight with girl scouts and choir. Last night we went out and bought some Mardis Gras stuff for each of them. Each year they have a Mardis Gras parade walking through the neighborhood near school, but thunderstorms are going to make it an indoor parade this year.

All of snow is gone... you may see a little bit here or there, but otherwise.... all gone.

Charlene... I think you are right to leave Paul be while he is getting his project up and going. When he has that in place he may be requesting a vacation and we know how both Stacy and you will vote !! Hang in there... I feel it working out!

Lots of rain this a.m. North Alabama had the worst hit in the state. West Tn was bad. Thanks for asking! It was windy and rainy taking Stacy to school this morning but it all over by about 10 a.m.

Charlene & Christine: I'm so glad to hear that you weren't affected by the storms.

I'm stuck at an airport motel. All the flights got canceled & we tried to get on all of then including ones to Tampa. There seems to be some discrimination against letting a family of 5 on standby--they'll take 10-20 people who are individuals or couples.....but we couldn't get on. I tried pointing this out to the gate agent but to no avail.

We have an 8:50 am that gets us in at 2pm (yuck). We will try to get on the 8:25 that arrives at noon. We have to go to Tampa & then rent a car.

I'm getting really bummed & starting to feel like I made a mistake in trying to do this short trip. We have trip insurance--but we can't stay longer.

I hope when we get there that we can still make it extra special for Nana--my Mom. I hope this whole ordeal today hasn't worn her out for the start of our trip.

December 27th just might be sold out already.

Linda and I are doing that one and then the Jan. 3, 2009 - B2B.

I think, we used our DVC points for that cruise. I'll have to check that. I know it is paid already and I don't owe anything on it.

Hi everyone!

Kim- no problem... we were just worried about you guys. I still can't believe it. For everyone else.... there was a shooting at the Kirkwood City Hall last night ( which is approx. 10 blocks or so from Kim's house). 6 people were killed, one of which was the shooter. It is just devastating. 2 were police oficers. The story is making headline news if you want more details. It just makes you sick though. It is always a shock when these things happen so close to home. This little city has been through a lot. Last year this is where they from Shawn Hornbeck being held by Devlin f.or all of those years and the year before another one of their police officers were killed in cold blood. Tragic is all I can say.
