Jumping from Standby to FP after the Mickey readers?

We last went in Spring Break and I noticed that the second set of Mickey Readers aren't used near the end of the FP+ line at the merge point.

On some rides (Space Mountain and Splash Mountain in particular) it seems like it would be extremely easy to jump from the standby line to the FP+ line without being seen by people waiting in line or by CMs.

So my question is has anyone seen anyone else doing this? I guess it's not a big problem or they'd go back to enforcing the second set of Mickey Readers.

It happens. But Disney thinks staffing two set of FP+ scanners is a bigger problem than line jumpers.

I have seen it at space the CM at the second point posted to the exit for them when I got up to the front I let the CM know the gate was opened this happened another time some thing gate was opened at space but she made the people go in the non FP line ( the left side ) where the line was a little longer but this was almost a all on the line was only 10 minutes

The only time I've seen them opt out of the second scanners is Splash. I have however seen people sent back in line because they tried to access the FP line and failed the second check point (both scanners in WDW and Legacy in DLR).

i have had to tap my MB at the second reader almost every time.
i think that it would be bery easy for CM's and other guests to notice someone trying to hop over the railings into the FP+ line and they would probably be escorted out of the line.

When we were there in April, they were sometimes using the second set of scanners, and sometimes not -- it seemed kind of random, so that probably cuts down on the number of people jumping from standby to FP, because you might not know if you are going to have to scan at the second scanner.

I'm sure that some people DO jump from the one line to the other, but I never saw it happen. I think that most people are honest, and most people would probably call people out if they saw it happen.

I've always had to scan at the second scanner and have never seen anyone try to jump into the FP line.
