The lumps are benign. They are calcifications and cysts. Whew. A weight has been taken off my shoulders. I have to be checked every 6 months but other than that I am good to go.

Glad to hear the good news!! I know how you feel, I had two nodules removed from my thyroid (plus the isthmus and a small section of the right lobe) last week and although the surgeon said it "looked fine" I didn't really breathe a sigh of relief until a couple of days ago, when I went back to get the bandage off and he said the report was benign. Love that word, don't you?
Anyway, congratulations, I know you're relieved.
