Jump Rope Championships at Studios 6/25

There is a blurb on the MouseEars newsletter that just came out about the National Jumprope Championships to be held June 23-25. The first two days are at WWoS, but the final day (June 25) is at the Studios at the Beauty and the Beast theater. ESPN will be taping it. We are planning to go to the Studios that day, so I hope it does not affect crowd levels or traffic flow around the theater too much. We're not crazy about B&tB anyway, so missing that show is no big deal to us! Anyone have any experience? TIA~

We were there for the jump rope thing in 2004. It was a rainy morning so we sat in the theater and watched the competition for a while and it was actually pretty impressive. I don't remember MGM being any more hectic than usual that day. Our experience certainly wouldn't stop me from going to MGM on a jump rope day again.

Do you need a special ticket to get into Beauty & the Beast at MGM STUDIO's to see the junp rope competion ?
We have an A/P and can park hop to where ever we wish.

We will be in MK in the AM (and evening) - but could hop over to MGM to see them.

We just walked in and sat down. There didn't seem to be many random spectators, mostly parents of the jumpers. Those girls were amazing!

Does anyone know which resort that they will be staying in?? Hopefully not movies, as these groups tend to be very very loud. I watched some of it on TV last year, it was pretty impressive. Our plane leaves later that night so I think well be at MK or EPCOT all day but that would be neat to see!
