Maybe I'm overly sensitive, but I feel a little bit of an "outsider" at Jambo. I think that's because I've had the misfortune of hearing rants from a couple people (who didn't know I was DVC) about problems with getting reservations since "they let those DVC people in". At Kidani, I feel a little more comfortable. That being said, I can't resist the value studios at Jambo, but I don't say much!

Don't let the comments bother you! We're helping to keep costs down for those folks by subsidizing the cost of running Jambo House. Then again, maybe Disney just pockets any additional profit and rates are rising as fast as they ever did.

But they do have a couple of legitimate gripes. Prior to DVC, AKL guests staying concierge got bigger rooms, either on the 6th floor just steps from the lounge, or on the 5th floor. Now they have to stay on the 4th floor in smaller rooms with a longer trek to the lounge. Also, those larger rooms accommodated 5 guests since they had a day bed. I don't think there are any rooms at AKL for families of five now other than the suites.

The people complaining could I am sure find someone to rent them dvc points if they desired to stay in the larger rooms.

Not everyone is comfortable renting a reservation from a private party due to trust issues or cancellation policies. Plus, the equivalent size room would be a DVC studio but that doesn't work for a family of five.

Then I guess people should stop complaining about dvc taking over. Honestly there is always someone complaining about something
