We were there last July 4th, and I didn't think it was as over-crowded as I would have expected. There was a rain delay of the fireworks, but they turned out to be well worth waiting for --a real patriotic extravaganza! We had a great time on the 4th.
Can you view the fireworks from Citiwalk or outside the parks? Our five day passes expire on July 1, but we were thinking about doing WDW fireworks on the 3rd and USO on the 4th.
Also, do they do fireworks on the 3rd as well as the 4th at USO?
I was there twice for July 4th and both times they set off fireworks from IOA, US, and City Walk simultaneously. So yes, you can see them from City Walk. It was great.
We were staying on the RPR on July 4 2004. We ended up having a wonderful view of all 3 sets of fireworks right out our window. It was the best fireworks show I've ever seen
We willl be spending our first 4th July in Orlando and have decided to go to Universal on that day. On the web site it mentions that there will be tickets available for a 'preferred viewing area'. Can anyone tell me how to go about buying these tickets as there doesn't seem to be any information on US/IOA website. Also if we can't get tickets where is the best place to see the fireworks and how soon beforehand would we need to be in place? Sorry 'bout all the questions but we want to make sure we can get a good view and really soak up the atmosphere
(8 days to go)
