We are planning a trip in July for my 30th birthday. We have never been to Disneyland, but have been to the world ,many times. What are some must see features/events at Disneyland in the summer, and most importantly, what is the weather and crowds like? Where do we have to eat? What are the best sites for planning?

Thank you are for you help! We will be staying at paradise pier with a theme park view (hoping for grand Californian if we can come up with the extra) or should we stick with paradise pier. It will be DH me, my mom, dad, and maybe a 2 year old.

Great! Welcome to the DLR side of the boards!

July is actually my favorite time to visit DLR. Weather is typically moderate and warm mid-day. Rain is typically zero. Crowds are typically busy but manageable. Dining differs from WDW so you will need to research that. Best sites for planning? For WDW vets this forum is it. This forum has more WDW vets perspective for DLR visits than any I have ever found.

A popular starting point around here is this thread written by a person I always agree with: ;)

"A DLR Guide for WDW Vets" www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1162599

The above thread will help you figure what questions you should be asking and then you can start building from there.

Here is another one that might help at this point:

"What WDW Vets Need to Know About Dining at DLR" http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2914467
