Has anyone got married in Disney World in July? I'm planning on getting married in July 2010 and I'm a bit worried as its hurricane season. If anyone has any information or personal experiences to share I would greatly appriciate it!
Thanks!:wizard:

New here but I think it owuld be fun!!! It can rain any day regardless of the time of year--have indoor options too

So far, we have only had hurricanes during the month of August, but I guess they can happen anytime between June 1st and November 30. You really have to have a plan of action for something indoors as well because you never know. We did think of hurricane season when planning my daughter's wedding which was in the month of May.

HI! we are planning our vow renewal at wdw for next july for our 20th anniversary. we always go in july, yes it is hot and can be very sticky during the day and yes it does rain but as long as we have been going we have only really had the aftermath rain of one hurricane and that was quite a few years ago. good luck!

Hi There,

We are getting married July 27th 2010 we are all set up for it :cool1: I guess my mom said I was down there one time in July but I don't remember haha. I guess after being there 31x they kinda blend. but i've been there almost any month and it doesn't matter what month it is it can still rain. Ya it might be worse in the summer. But normally it rains for 20mins and then stops get sticky and then its sunny the rest of the day. Plus everyone says it is good lucky to rain on your wedding day......:rolleyes1

As I'm getting married to a tropical meteorolgist, I'll try to help out here - something must have rubbed off right? lol

Atlantic Hurricane Season runs June 1st - November 30th. The biggest months for storms in Florida are August through October with a majority of the storms in that time occurring in September. That's not to say that there can't be a tropical system in July - consider Hurricane Dennis which hit the Florida panhandle in July 2005. But that was the abnormal year of 2005 (Think Katrina, Rita, Wilma etc..)

So basically, you can't guarantee that there won't be a hurricane - but July is a lower risk than say October... (says the October bride with the meteorologist who has been threatened with doom if a storm should develop ;))

We go married last July (09). It was hot but I live in southeast Georgia so it wasn't that bad to me!! It does rain like everyday during the summer months so I would be afraid to get married outside wig the risk of getting moved! We even had a dessert party for rehearsal and got moved because of rain! It rained our wedding day at the perfect times that we were inside though! As for hurricanes usually those are startng more so in august!!

Speaking from personal experience of having lived in Orlando my entire life, I wouldn't worry about hurricanes as much as just that it might storm on the day of your wedding. As long as you don't have your heart set on an outdoor location then go for it! Also, I'd suggest going for an earlier time to avoid the rain and heat :thumbsup2

I don't think you should worry too much about it in July, yes it could happen but usually it's more of a worry further south than in central FL. I live in Miami and it's a worry from the beginning until the end of the season. We evacuate to Disney when we have to leave so that should tell you something lol.

I am getting married july16th 2010 and me and my planner had to set up a plan incase of rain which I would be very disappointed about because I love sbp. She said I could bring umbrella's. A hurricane would just ruin everything I don't even want to think about it.
