OK, I know DL is hot in July, but unfortunately, that's when I have to plan to go. So how hot is hot? Compare it to WDW-now that's hot in July! Are we talking Misty-Mates, cooling ties, fans? Or is it hot like New England July weather (that's where I used to live)? If so, that would be a welcome breath of cool air to me. Right now it's 86 degrees where I live, normal in this sub-tropical climate. I've never been to DL, but I've been to WDW at various times of year-November, early May, late May, mid June, October, December. Does DL in July compare to any of those? I'm desperately trying to get a feel for true mid-July weather.

We don't tend to have much in the way of humidity here in S CA. To us, anything above 40% humidity is getting humid and we're getting uncomfortable, while in other parts of the country, that would be really comfortable. But the sun can get intense, but I imagine it can in Texas also. During July, the temp can range from upper 70s to upper 90s and is usually in the 80s. Evenings can get cool, though (esp when the humidity is really low) so bring sweatshirts. I don't think you can compare Florida weather with CA weather because of the difference in humidity. I was at WDW in late-April last year and the temp was mid-80s to 90 the entire time, but the humidity was so much higher than I was used to that I was really uncomfortable. Also--while even on the hottest days I wouldn't dream of going to DL w/o a sweatshirt if I'm staying into the evening, at WDW I didn't need one because it stayed so warm in the evenings.

Wow - I am glad I read this thread. We are also going in July (after our cruise). I will have to make sure we have some long sleeve garment (casual) for the eve. You definitely don't need it in WDW unless you are in a rest.

I agree that there is no comparison in the weather. DL is so less humid, peaks much earlier, and cools down quickly. The key at DL is just to stay hydrated, and have a hat or sunglasses for 12-4 pm.
