We just returned from our trip (July 27-Aug.2) and I have to say that it was AMAZING! We stayed at Pop Century and it was great. We had standard rooms but the walk to the buses and the eating area was very short. We had a computer pool view and only had to climb one flight of stairs!
I was pleasantly shocked at how light the crowds were! We never waited in stand by for more than 20 minutes and at the Animal Kingdom we never even had to use a fast pass!!!
Seriously, we lucked up!
Yes the heat was brutal, but without having to stand in all of those lines for a long period of time it was bearable! We took breaks to sit in the shade, sipped on frozen coca colas and ducked into stores to cool off when it got too much.
For anyone wondering how the crowds and heat is at the end of July, IMO its worth trying it! We had a GREAT time!
