We are traveling to US/IOA from July 13-16, with a 3 day park to park pass. Our flight on the 16th is late, so I am thinking our park days will be Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday morning. Right now we are booked all 3 nights at Cabana Bay, but I am thinking of switching one night to Royal Pacific for the unlimited express pass option.

DD will be 4 and is mostly interested in the Curious George play area, though I am sure she will love Dr. Seuss and checking out the superhero area. I myself am a ginormous Harry Potter fan and am extremely excited for Diagon Alley. DH, well, he is just along for the ride

I need help with deciding whether I need the night at RPH or not. Right now I plan to take advantage of the early entry hour on all three of our park days to do our Harry Potter stuff. Once that is out of the way, what do you think wait times will look like for other attractions? Is it in our best interest to switch to RPH for unlimited express? Or do you think we will be ok once we are outside Diagon Alley/WWHP?

If you could swing staying at RPH for one night I would..July is very busy and crowded WITHOUT the opening of DIagon Alley. We were there in AUgust and even then, things like Despicable ME had a 90 min wait standby and things like Spiderman and Transformers were 60 mins..

You had me at 60 and 90 minute wait times! I will book one night at RPH :thumbsup2

Another vote for one night at RPH, we were at WWoHP in July 2010 (one month after WWoHP opened) and boy were we glad to have the express pass. It was crazy!! We used the hour early perk and express passed everything that we could.

I imagine it's going to be insanely busy once HP2 is open and you will want every perk possible to navigate those crowds.
