I have a conference at the Swan/Dolphin in mid-July and have two blocks of time to visit the parks (outside a private reception at Epcot one evening). On Thursday, July 19 my conference wraps up at 1pm and on Friday, July 20, I have until I depart Orlando at 8pm. I’m interested in going to Animal Kingdom and the Magic Kingdom. Should I go to MK on Thursday afternoon till close or Friday when there’s EMH at 8 am?

I think the deciding factor for me would be which day could I get Flight of Passage Fast Pass for? That would determine my Animal Kingdom day.

Honestly it doesn't matter. There's very little difference, just go with whatever suits you better.

No way at this time to get flight of passage.

But definitely book fastpasses for both days.

If your staying on site and use the EMH go to Magic Kingdom then. If your not using the EMH then go to Magic Kindgom day prior. General rule is use the EMH but leave the park later in day because the EMH pulls more hotel guests to the park that day and it becomes overly crowded. But since your not park hopping and have limited time - if you can get the most of the EMH to get a lot done then do that.

I would do AK on Thursday adn MK on Friday with the EMH since you have to leave early.
Definitely get FPs for whatever you can at this point. Many popular ones are probably gone already.

I'm not looking to do FoP. I'm more of a slow-boats-moving-through-great-theming kind of person.

Looks like Animal Kingdom on Thursday and MK on Friday will be the plan.
