Hello everyone. We are WDW semi-vets ;) This will be our first trip back to DLR since 2007 and so we are a little rusty on all the in's and out's back here. We'll be in the DLR area from July 8-16. We plan on going to DLR & DCA for 4 of those days. I'm looking for confirmation and or suggestions on dates to go to the parks.

What day should I attempt to get everyone up extra early for morning magic? Obviously at this time of year we know it's going to be busy with the weekends no doubt the busiest and will be looking to avoid them on the weekend.

By the time we get to our hotel it will be just after 11:30am on the 8th so we were not planning on going to the parks but rather just DTD. Our plan is to hit the parks on Wednesday (9) and Thursday (10), Hollywood sightseeing on Friday (11), shopping and other sightseeing on Saturday (12), Universal Studios on Sunday (13) and then back to Disney on Monday and Tuesday.

Also have been reading some threads about planning apps. Kinda set on downloading Ridemax when we are a couple weeks out. Anyone have any opinions on this or any other app they have found useful?

Thanks in advance for your comments and sorry for the long post :)

Your plan sounds good. The main strategy is to be at the parks WHEN THEY OPEN! I'm an ap and even when I go in the summer, it's not too bad from opening until around lunchtime. When you get in, go quick & get a fast pass for somewhere then go on another e ticket ride. That wil maximize your day! Have fun

I would lean towards MM on the Thursday. You will not be as tired and mroe likely ot be able to get up and use it.
