July/August touring at Sea World?

Hi all,
All my previous visits have been over Easter but this time we'll be in Orlando last week July & first week August.
What advice can anyone give about touring SW during a hot summers day?
For example, when the inevitable afternoon rain arrives, are outdoor (for the animals!) shows cancelled?
I'm really worried about spending a whole day there at this time of year but we have no other option.

I would like to know also, and would like to know what day would you suggest we visit at this time of year?
We usually go to SW in the fall first time going during the summer. We will be in Florida from 7/8-7/18 would like to take our daughter to the Dine with Shamu. Thanks for your help.

When we were there before (in August), it was very hot...make sure you have a lot of water!!!

As far as rain, we had some pretty severe thunderstorms hit the day we were there...in fact, there were reports of a tornado watch in the area. Most of the animal shows were under cover, so none of them were cancelled. However, the roller coasters were shut down, due to lightening being in the area.

The nice thing about Orlando rainstorms in the summer, is that they appear to be very shortlived...so, it was only a matter of minutes before they cleared out.
