July 9th 2005 - West Coast Cruise.

Kim,
It is a small world. So which teacher does your DD have? My DS is in 3rd with Mrs. Kyhn. Do you go to church in the area? It would be too weird if we go to the same church too!
Lori (sw cruiser)

Kim,
Sorry I was still half asleep. I now read that you said Western Christian. That loss of one hour is hitting me hard!
Lori

Lori (swcruiser)...I can relate to the loss of that hour! We go to church at Cross and Crown Lutheran Church in Rancho Cucamonga. What about you?

Kim :flower:

Kim,
We go to Hillside Community church in Alta Loma.
Oh how I wish there was some more info out there about our cruise. I really hope like someone else said that Disney has it all together and they are just suprising us. I am an organization freak and this is driving me crazy.
Lori (swcruiser)

Lori (swcruiser)...We have a few friends who go to Hillside Community Church! I hear it's a great place! DCL is ABSOLUELY driving me crazy with the lack of info...if I was sailing in May, I'd just be beside myself!!!! At least we can benefit from info from the cruisers before us!

Kim :flower:

Lori,
Don’t sweat Disney having their acts together yet there at least 6 test cruises before us I’m sure they will learn by doing

And remember the optimistic pessimist's creed:

Hey, Mike...Your post just made me realize what I am...an Optimistic Pessimist!!!! I never quite knew what to call myself!!

Kim :flower:

I agree but I hate having to wait. I know patience is a virture but I missed that one! Well I better go to sleep. First day back at work since last week was Easter Vacation. My DS is so bummed about going back to school, I on the other hand am ready for school to start again!

I think we've decided to do the Jungle Experience in P.V. I hope someone reviews the excursions so we can hear what they're really like.

I want to put money on our account so that we won't have a big cc bill when we come home. I am trying to think how much we will need, so can you tell me if I'm missing anything.

Susan B. I am going to PM you about Indianapolis. If you could email me back, I would appreciate it.

Looks like a pretty good list. I would only add anything you might like in the spa, like massages and maybe hair braiding?

Isn't this Eeyore? :teeth: Welcome aboard Lori (swcruiser). DS & I live in Riverside, not to far from you too!

We finally ordered our passports today. Gave the City Clerk's office a chunk of money (feels like we made our last payment for the cruise, HA!). They should arrive near DS Matt's b-day next month.

To catch up with the scrapbooking conversation, anyone with a ditigal camera willing to be our 'unofficial' photographer. Great e-mailing opportunity for the scrapbook folks in the group, uh?

Cheri - I liked your idea about a website. Have we come up with anything on that?

Amy

I just got a new digital SLR camera so I can be the official "unofficial" photographer. We will actually have several cameras with us on the cruise since I have recently become a camera hoarder. It seems we have alot of scrapbookers in our group.

I can actually do the website too. What kind of info do we want?

I guess I'd better get on the ball with the passports since I'm hearing that's the way to go.

See Cheri, I totally forgot to add in our spa treatment. Thanks!

Need more pixie dust. Have been thinking now of seriously considering Indiana. Talked with the kids, they're not happy, but say they'll do it. What an emotionally exhausting day. Telling all my friends wasn't easy. I haven't cried so much in so long. I should have gotten them all together to tell them, that way we all could have cried together and gotten it over with. Anyway, nothing is for sure. They have to make DH a great deal, and even then we'll still have to think about it. The day ended on a nice note, went to a friend's party and had a margarita!

Oh, we went to Disneyland yesterday and had so much fun. The new Buzz Lightyear ride is so much fun. We had gone on it in DisneyWorld and loved it. Can't wait til Space Mountain opens again.

Karen...

Sorry to hear you had such a bad day! :guilty: Hope everything works out for you and your family with Indiana. Sending pixie dust your way!! :wizard:

I took the kids (each on their own special day) to Disneyland when I was off track for 3 weeks. The Buzz Lightyear ride is definitely a new family favorite! It was so fun...for kids of ALL ages!!! The castle looks really great, doesn't it? Did you see the new "mini-parades"?...the dance party one and the princess one ran at different times during the day while we were there...they didn't have one at night. They also did the Mickey climbs the Matterhorn "show". I got the feeling that maybe they were trying some things out to see what works and what doesn't for the 50th. As AP holders, we go A LOT, so it was fun to see something new!

Have you heard when Space Mountain is re-opening?

Kim :flower:

Karen - sending some pixie dust your way!! :wizard: I sent Susan and email letting her know you sent her a PM because she doesn't get on her often.

We went to DL last week too while the girls were on Spring Break. Loved Buzz Lightyear - rode it twice. I also really enjoyed Mickey climbing the Matterhorn.

Karen - Hugs & pixie dust coming your way! :wizard:

Rumor has it that Space Mountain will be open again by 7/16/05. They're supposed to be really burning the midnight oil to get this done, since the original re-open date was November 2005...

Sara

Only a few more days til we can book excursions! I hope I can get the dolphin swim/encounter we want...the kids are really excited and would be devastated if we couldn't do it! Guess I'll be on the phone at 5 a.m. on Sunday!! :)

Kim :flower:

Thanks for all the good wishes, everyone. The upside is we could get a 4500 square foot mansion for about 375,000. Now you California's know that is insane. I could fit a couple of my houses in one of those and pay a couple hundred thousand less. We do pay a premium for living here.

Kim--did you go through a travel agent? Do you just call the Disney phone number and book it? We did see the new parade. It was nice because we were walking by and it just started so we just sat down on the curb. It was short enough DS didn't complain too much. Space Mountain is supposed to open in July. I can't wait (well, unless we move :sad2: ). I hear there is a really fun theme park in neighboring Ohio, though.
