JULY 8TH 2006 - Eastern Magic - 070806 - 07082006 - 20060708

My older DS (4th grader) LOVES baseball. His Fall league is starting soon. He is also an avid tennis player. He will turn 10 about a month before the cruise. He has a cousin who will be turning 9 right before the cruise and he is also a baseball nut. And they are both video game nuts! (I am going to have to watch charging priveleges for those arcade cards!!!)

I would love it if they could hook up together. My son is shy about meeting new people so if he knows about meeting someone beforehand, that would be great!

I'll have to send you a picture so your son will know who to be on the watch for!

I reserved our rental cars (or in our case vans) from Budget yesterday. Check. That is done. Only a couple more reservations to go! I still have to make flight reservations and get our insurance. I love being able to check things off my list of things to do! :cool1:

We got our flights a couple of days ago. $246 a person direct nonstop including taxes.

What airline? I tried booking through travlocity.com and they are saying I cannot book until 330 days out. I did a check to see about flights around that time of year and I am coming back with about $260 or more per person.

I need to check in to group rates also. Southwest is cheaper but the flight times out of Louisville are limited.

Did you book directly with the airline? Maybe the 330 day thing is only for internet bookings. :confused3

Let me know. Thanks!

Northwest - direct booking on their website. NWA fares were actually out a couple weeks ago for that time period.

Wow that is early. Most other airlines I have checked with aren't out yet. Oh well, I will keep checking! Thanks! :flower:

Hi Everybody,

Only 44 more Monday's (not including today) to go to work before we enjoy our Monday at Sea!!

I almost fainted when I saw the prices for our cruise. Between early booking and moving our onboard reservation to this trip we got a great rate. We had some friends who wanted to go with us, since they are a family of 5 they were looking at the cat 4..ouch was that price high!!

Besides it being blistering hot in south florida nothing else new to report. I wonder were Stuart has been? Hope all is well with him, haven't seen any post from him in awhile.

Have a great day :earboy2:

Marie you're hilarious! :rotfl: :rotfl:

Okay, let's really get technical:

From and including: Monday, August 22, 2005
To, but not including : Saturday, July 8, 2006

It is 320 days from the start date to the end date, but not including the end date

* Or 10 months, 16 days excluding the end date

Alternative time units:
320 days can be converted to one of these units:

* 27,648,000 seconds
* 460,800 minutes
* 7,680 hours
* 45 weeks (rounded down)

Take your pick! :earboy2: :earboy2:

I can't *believe* the price of the cruise now!! Sofar for our whole group our savings from booking early and then switching to MICDAN.COM (Dana) are just approaching $8500!!

I don't even want to *know* what the Cat 1 suite is going for now. Jim, I think you got a steal! :banana:

Wish me luck....I think "Katrina" may be coming for a visit. My Latitude is 26.26 and Longitude -80.24 and Attitude is cranky according to my 14y/o lovely daughter.

At least the media didn't have a weeks advance notice to hype it up. They already cancelled the kids schools for tomorrow and Friday (hmmmm...maybe I can hop on the wonder??). I think I need more luck having the kids house bound for the next few days!!

Hello everyone!

saw this thread and decided to post. Right now we are booked on this cruise. Me, DH and 2 DD 18 & 20. I have been debating about keeping this one or changing to the end of July. I liked this one because the second Pirates of the Carribean movie is due out early July. Thought it would be fun to be on board for that. pirate:

Don't Know about a "steal", but I too would hate to know what it would cost if I booked it now! Don't know which one of those alternative time units I want to use....they all sound too far away! But it's inching closer...almost time to start planning that DIS party in the Walt Suite!

I am also on this cruise with DH and 2 DS 8 and 4. I was tempted to abandon this one for any one of the cheaper cruises in Sept 2006 but am worried about the kids and school. My only solace is the fact that we may be able to see the pirates of the carribean on board with all the hoopla that comes with it. So we'll see how it goes.

Hi Wynn

Boy I hear ya about the cheaper cruise! We usually go in October but this because my daughter starts college in August we were really limited this time.

Barb

Welcome Mickey02 and Wynn!!

I am excited to hear we may be on board for the new Pirates of the Carribean movie.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest

Release Date: July 7, 2006
Studio: Walt Disney Pictures
Director: Gore Verbinski
Screenwriter: Terry Rossio, Ted Elliott
Starring: Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom, Keira Knightley, Stellan Skarsgård, Naomie Harris, Alex Norton, Jack Davenport, Tom Hollander, Vanessa Branch
Genre: Action, Adventure, Comedy
Plot Summary: This time around, Johnny returns as Captain Jack Sparrow and is caught in yet another tangled web of supernatural intrigue. It turns out, Captain Jack owes a blood debt to the legendary Davey Jones, ruler of the ocean depths and captain of the ghostly Flying Dutchman. If Jack can't figure a crafty way out of this one, he'll be cursed to an afterlife of eternal servitude and damnation. And as if that weren't enough, Captain Jack's problems throw a huge wrench into the wedding plans of the blissful Will Turner and Elizabeth Swann, who quickly find themselves thrust into Jack's misadventures.

That would be neat if they show the movie! Do they show new releases like that often? Now that the Magic is back in Florida, it seems like the cruise is that much closer! Yeah!! :cool1: Only 305 days left until we sail! Less than a year!!! :goodvibes

I am ready NOW!!! :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

I was on the Wonder June 19th when Herbie was released. I am not sure when it was released officially in the theaters but they showed it on the ship. I think they had 2 showings on the same day for Herbie because the demand was great. I do not even want to imagine what it will be like for POTC. :earseek:

Good Morning Everyone!!!

Wynn- Was Herbie a good movie? I have still not seen it. My husband was not sure it looked good, I thought it looked cute.

Barb

I saw Herbie and thought it was good. I am not a big Lyndsey Lohan fan but thought it was cute. My two boys (9 and 5 years old) liked it as well. :cool1:

Thanks! I think I will rent it. Not a Lyndsey Lohan fan either. She was cute in The Parent Trap but don't like her attitude now.
