Well this is the year Ray and I celebrate our 15th anniversary. Also, it's the year Ray, Debbie(djpate)-my bf, and I turn 40. So, this cruise is celebrating all of that. So, we are definitely going to live it up, especially since Grandma is watching all of my boys for me.

Now I'm very confused. I thought that the Hermitage was closed on Mondays and St. Catherine's palace closed on Tuesdays, yet I see that those excursions are running both days. Is this a DCL mistake? Because I will pick different excursions if they are available as you have listed...but I'm worried that DCL has made a mistake and then they will have to cancel excursions when they figure it out.

The other option is that DCL has worked its magic and those places are going to be open just for us!

Anyone know?

Good catch. I emailed guest services at DCL today asking them that very question. I have not heard back yet. I'll let you know when I do.

My partner and I will be celebrating our 10 year anniversary on the cruise. It will also be our honeymoon (we dated a long time before deciding to get married haha).

I'd also like to take part in the fish extender fun! However, the only people in our travel party will be myself and my DH (we're in our late 20's and have no kids). Also, I've been on five other Disney cruises and never done this before, so I'm looking forward to learning from all of you what I need to do.

Anyway, I am super excited for the cruise - less than four months to go!!

About the London Underground ("The Tube") tickets, there are Zone 1/2 day passes available (£7-20 for adults, £3-60 for under 16's). If you'll only be travelling outside of rush hour times, there's a cheaper option available. I don't know how long you're staying but a weekly pass might be more cost effective too?

Thanks for the currency info and the underground info. Part of why I am looking ahead so detailed is thinking about how much I want to conert ahead of time to already have pocket money before having to find an ATM.

We purchased currency from wells fargo- no fee and best rates I could find. It arrived fedex today! My thought is that with just one day in port, I don't want to waste time searching for ATMs. The exchange rate for pounds was wonderful compared to past trips (sorry Brit fellow cruisers).

I was trying to think of ones I know in that Area, all I can recall is The McDonalds at London Aquarium which is next door.

Waterloo station has a few places inside and just outside, but they are generally for snacks and commuters, you are best going up to, Piccadilly Circus, Leicester Square, Convent garden, there are lots of nice places around.

Planet Hollywood is at Piccadilly circus. Hard Rock at Hyde park corner.

Pizza Express is nice, China Town, and Dim Sung is nice, top part of Leicester square.

I will try and have a look around, I work in London, every weekday in different places.

The Planet Hollywood has now moved to Haymarket which is close to Piccadilly Circus.

The Catherine's Palace - Exclusive Disney Character Experience is an excursion at night (6:15 to 11 pm). I was surprised to find that out when I booked our excursion. We have all of our excursions booked and were so happy to get all of the excursions we wanted. They sure are pricey though.

We are booked for the following excursions:

Oslo Highlights in Norway
Tivoli Gardens - All Inclusive Experience in Denmark
Molli Steam Train in Germany
Exclusive Ballet Master Class
Exclusive Disney Character Experience - Royal Ball at Catherine's Palace - Russia
Peterhof Parks, Fountain and Train Ride - Russia
Backstage Experience at the Russian Ballet
Helsinki Highlights and Santa's Summerhouse - Finland
Skansen Museum and Swedish Fairytales - Sweden
Palo's Brunch

It seemed impossible to do both a morning and afternoon excursion because of the overlap in time. Didn't find any that worked out of the ones we were interested in.

We are very excited about our cruise and were even more excited when we got the call to say a category 3 room came home.
