July 5th - it's a Saturday - lots of questions re MK

I know MK is an insanely busy park on Saturdays. Will 7/5 be even busier?

I have Cindy's breakfast PS at 10:20 so we have to go to MK this day. Should we just leave right after breakfast? I was thinking that since it is our very first day at WDW, the kids will want to stay for a long time. Maybe we could hit the attractions listed as "anytime" in my unofficial guide after breakfast. We plan to be there at opening and avoid Fantasyland. We'll be back the next day for EE. Any good places to go that aren't covered by EE that would be a good place for a Saturday morning at park opening?

Is the 3 pm parade not worth the struggle on this day?

Not sure how old your kids are - but if you're going to do the EE on Sunday, why don't you exit Cindy's and head right over to Toontown Fair. Toontown is not part of EE so you could do it on Saturday - if your kids are small.

Go on Barnstormer - buy autograph books on your way into MK because Toontown has a lot of Characters. If it is hot, let the kids get wet at Donald's Boat.

Then jump on the train and ride right to Main Street - and head out without walking through the crowds.

We went to Cindy's on a Sat in Dec--happened to be the Sat they were taping the Christmas parade. We got there at opening, and FL was a ghost town! All rides were a walk on until our PS at 9:40. We finished up at about 10:45 and when we came out it was pretty wild. We headed out at that point. I think you could probably get in a few good rides--maybe jungle cruise, Aladdin and Pirates? Head toward FL and if you have time hit HM too. I personally wouldn't try to do Toontown on a Sat especially as you won't be done with breakfast until more than an hour after it has opened.
