We will be getting off Disney Fantasy on July 4th, we have one night stay at POP century, and then we fly home the next day. I just couldn't fly home on July 4th! Needed to try and squeeze in 1 more day of fun...

BUT WHAT TO DO????

No idea how long it will take to get off the ship, get on a shuttle to our hotel (car will be at a port hotel), pick up our car, drive to WDW, check in at POP.

Originally wanted to do a day at MK (we were going to do some days at WDW before our cruise), but now we can't stay prior to the cruise because of $$$, just didn't have enough.

Now I am stuck with a day that I have no idea on what to do with.

MK will probably close to capacity and the stress of trying to get there after just being on the Fantasy won't be fun, but yet being so close to the parks is going to be awful and not go will be painful! Might not have the $$ to go to the parks, and how the tickets are now you have to choose between MK or the other 3 for a 1 day park pass.

so... if you had a day and not going to parks, ON JULY 4TH, what would you do... and I don't think I want to go to Downtown Disney... I can't see spending money on souvenirs when I would rather spend the money to go to a park...

If you are doing a non-MK park for extra fireworks, I would lean EPCOT. But you won't see much more than any FP+ you get.

For non-park, I'd consider an afternoon swim at your resort, then visiting the Boardwalk for the evening (and catching some distant fireworks)

Every traditional activity I think of.. Renting a pontoon (you were just on a boat). Fireworks dinner reservation (cost and you probably ate a ton on the cruise) doesn't seem to work

Not sure about earlier in the day but I have heard the fireworks are amazing (we will be at MK on the 4th). Robo has a great map of the viewing of the fireworks from the TTC. I have seen some pics and it looks like a great spot without having to pay any $$$.
