July 4th PS

We are arriving at WDW on July 4th. I would like to watch the fireworks from inside the Magic Kingdom. I am planning on making a PS for LTT that night for dinner. If we get to the park late afternoon and it is closed because of capacity, will they still let us in because we have a PS? Thanks.

No, they won't.

No. If they close the parks due to capacity they will not let anyone in even if they have a PS. We had the same dilemma last year. We made the reservation at Tony's in MK and also made a ressie at Narcoossee's at the Grand Floridian so that if we didn't make it into the park we could still see the fireworks. Of course, once you get into the park you should immediately cancel the other PS so that someone else can get in. This was suggested by our itinerary planner and it worked great!! We didn't have to worry about whether or not we'd get to see the fireworks. I think they are very particular about checking ID's on the beach to watch fireworks on July 4 because it's really not fair to the people staying at monorail resorts for it to be so crowded with other non resort guests. If you have the PS then you have every right to be seated in the restaurant watching the fireworks go off. It wouldn't be the same as being in the park, but at least you'd have a back up plan. Oh no! I was planning on going to the Poly beach to watch the Fireworks since we are arriving on the 4th and won't be visiting a park that day. I didn't know that they check ID's on the beach. If you are eating at the Poly will they let you go down to the Beach? If not, should we get a ps for Narcoossee's? Do they show the fireworks at a special time for the 4th or do they just make the regular showing a little better?

On our first night during our October trip, we went to Ohanas for dinner. As we were paying the server asked if we were going to the beach to watch the fireworks. We were planning to walk around the Polynesian and check out the beach area. There weren't that many people on the beach - we even sat on the swing and watched the fireworks! It was really nice!!! They were not checking IDs when we were there, but it was October. Don't know about July 4th.

We'll be at Disney for July 4th too - but we'll be at Epcot that day!
