Hi there all,

Well, we did it agin. This will be #3 for DW and me, as well as DGS and DGD. Quinn will be 10, Simone 7.5. Their mom amd dad (DD#1 and DSIL#1) will be along again, as will DD #2 and DSIL #2. In fact, that duo was with us on Wonder in August 2007, had their own Stateroom, and don't you just know......9 months later....Heere's Eli! :dance3: Soooo that trio will be along as well.....DW and I thought he should have been named Mickey...or Pluto.

Annyway, we are all looking for loads of fireworks before and on the cruise.....and hope there are lots of other firecrackers joining us. Hope we get some seasoned Disney Cruisers to help organize the fun and games for our group.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Suzanne,

Glad to hear you will be coming along. Who are the folks in your party?

We'll be with you guys too. Just got off June 15 Mexican Riviera - was going to skip a year, but oh well:confused3
I am Lisa, the DA - we will have DGM SUe, DN, Ashton - 12, DN Kaylee - 10 and probably a few others. Seems so far away, but time will fly! Talk to you guys soon.:)

It looks like my we will be part of an extended family group going on this cruise - at least that is what we are tentatively planning. My family is me and DW (40-somethings), DS-18, and DD-13. Also in the group are my parents-in-laws, and my wife's brother, his wife, and 2 sons (13 and 15). I'm hoping this will actually work out, because it is just starting planning right now. We've all been on the Magic before in 2006, and really looking forward to another cruise. My family has been on one other cruise, Eastern Caribbean on Princess. We are really looking forward to Eastern again, because we had to miss St John last time, due to my daughter being sick.

I was wondering when someone would start a thread! We booked this back in January (actually, we moved it from a previous on-board booking we made in Nov. 2006). We have 2 Cat 9 rooms for our family of 5. We are traveling with another family of 5, possibly another family of 3, and others are still looking into it. This will be our 3rd Magic cruise, and our 2nd one over July 4th. We did the Mexican Riviera when DCL brought the Magic out in 2005 (over July 4th), and then in 2006 we did a "double scoop" modified Western Cruise (2 stops at CC to make up for missing out while doing the Mexican Riviera). Looking forward to meeting all of you!

Unfortunately, plans have already changed. DMIL says that TA heard from Disney that this cruise is already very heavily booked and few rooms available in our desired category. We would have had to accept some rooms over the engines, which we figured would not be pleasant. Plus our group needed a handicap accessible room, and Disney did not want to release that yet. This is weird to me.

Anyway, we will probably be cruising, just not on Disney Magic :sad1:

Hi everyone! Our family may be joining you as well. I have my deposit down anyhow. We just have to see if we can save enough by the PIF date!

My birthday will be the week of this cruise (and I'm not telling which one!)...it will be me, DH, and DD (7).

Looking forward to getting to know all of you in the coming months :goodvibes

Welcome! I like your disname. I too teach to pay for my travel addiction.

It be myself, my daugher (9yr old who will be turning 10 on the trip), my mom and dad, my uncle and aunt and their two children.

This is my first time on the DIS in about 6 weeks. I had to have unexpected abdominal surgery 6 weeks ago & start back to work tomorrow (can you tell I'm finding things to do instead of thinking about work?). ;)

Hi there..

Suzanne, my dgs will be turning 10 just a couple of weeks before the cruise...same age as your dd.

Wendy, sorry about surgery, and glad you're well enough to get back to work. I'm certain you will be all fit and ready by July.

I am sure there are more Dis Board folks out there who will be joining our thread.....just a lot on folks' minds now....but I'm sure you agree, one should be this cruise...right?

All of a sudden the DCL bug bite me tonight and decided I need to know when I'm going to Palo's for dinner. Yes, I plan early :)

My wife and I will be there as well with all of you!!:cool1:

This will mark our 2nd voyage with DCL (May 2000) and we are celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary....

I'm with you on this one. Already know which dates I need to log online to fill out the registration forms and book excursions/palo/spa etc. Have those all listed, and target dates picked.

We'll be in WDW for 6/28-7/3 enjoying the parks and all things Disney. :)

Just went over my itineraries for those days as well.

I'm soooooo a type A personality.

Looking forward to seeing you DIS'rs onboard.

Yeah! More people! Congrats on the anniversary. We're celebrating out 20th. :cool1:

Well...guess I'll ask this now, has anyone started an FE exchange thread this cruise yet? I just finished reading the thread on it and I'm thinking this would be a great thing to do.:cool1:

OK.......

I happened to check, and as the one who started the thread I get messaged every time there is sa post.

Hooray.....someone is talking FE exchange. Did this on the last cruise (Wonder 2007) and it was a blast. in 2005 on Magic, we had just a get together the day of sail away, but no gift exchange. The gift exchange is great. our dgc loved this and couldn't wait to get back to the stateroom and see what surprise was waiting for them. It was really great.

Wish I could be more help in organizing. We are packing up our houseto get it ready for sale (Yes....even in this market), leaving on a cruise next week, and busy as heck at work......so we are out of commission for a month or so. That being said, will help any way we can.

Stewart and Marilyn...

2 dds on this one (with hubbies) and 3 dgc (Who are the reason we are doing this all).

The thread has been quiet lately, so here goes a post that might get a little excitement brewing.

I'm going to take on the task of organzing an FE exchange for this particular cruise.

If you are interested, please send me the following details either via PM here, or to my e-mail address at: khazid@hotmail.com. All I ask is that you mention the exchange in your subject line so I know how to filter the data.

Stateroom#:
Disboard Name(s):
Ages of those in the room:
E-mail address to send info to:
Any other info you want shared with the group:

If you don't want to give an exact age, any listed age group will work. This is so that anyone that wants to participate can plan age appropriate gifts if needed.

Deadline to join:5/1/09

After that date I will send out all the relevant information via a spreadsheet to all participants. If you don't have excel let me know, and I'll be happy to translate the information on the group in whatever format works for you.

To keep any financial burden from getting out of control on this, I'm going to limit the group to 10 families for right now. If there is more interest we can always expand it.

If you need information on what an FE exchange is you can go here.

Don't delay, sign up today!!:happytv:
