July 30, 2010 Mickey's Adventures England to Espana Cruise

I got my $100 per person OBC letter yesterday too. I assumed since I downgraded I would lose the credit but it has the same reservation number on it and on the DCL site it still shows my purchase date as August 2009 so I guess they applied the cat 12 rate to the old booking rather than completely reshopping it. Will take the letter with me as back up but I am very pleased with $400 extra credit!

Not received any letter yet about OBC - it would be very nice if we got it. Do you have to have paid the cruise in full to get it? We have not done so yet. I will be looking out for the postman tomorrow!

Hi, there are six of us from my family travelling, in three cabins, and also fingers crossed hoping for this letter. May I ask if you booked through a UK agent? We booked via Iglu, No letter yet but fingers crossed..

Welcome to all the new travellers. I was surprised all of the inside and oceanview categories are GTY, I guess this cruise is filling up.

I think you had to have booked the cruise by a certain date in November to get the $100 OBC letter.

Have you received the letter from Disney about booking Baltic or Med and speical thank you for your business, we are pleased to provide each member of your stateroom party with a $100 shipboard credit..:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

I received it this morning wow....

We booked directly through Disney - took advantage of the great Cat 12 GTY over. An upgrade would be nice, but there are only 3 of us (and one is very small) so Cat 12 would be fine.

We didn't book until January, so it looks as if it is a no go for the OBC. Ah well - I had already spent that $100 in my head on cocktails with dinner every night! No loss i suppose everybody is lucky to be in a position to go on a Disney cruise - OBC or no OBC.

We are enjoying the Winter Olympics, but I have not watched much figure skating, because of the time difference it usually starts about 11:00PM here, I think tonight it starts earlier so hoping to catch it. My oldest daughter loves the womens hockey, but she just does not think it right that they do not play men:sad2::eek:

We booked this cruise as well ... cat12 gty. We're from Tampa, Florida. There will be 4 of us ... myself, husband - Tim, dd - Kaila (13) and ds -Zachary (11). We still need to book airfare. For those flying from the US for this cruise, where did you book your airfare.

Welcome aboard! There seems to be a lot of people booked on the Cat 12 GTY so maybe you will be lucky and get an upgrade (guaranteed to Cat 11 as there is four of you).

The funny thing is our airfare is going to cost more than the cruise :sad2:

We had the same experience when we did a 7 night carribean cruise on the Magic last summer - we combined our cruise with some time in WDW but the airfare is so expensive, especially during the school holidays and so our cruise was way cheaper than the airfare!

British Airways credit card has had a deal at times this year where you get 50,000 miles when you open the card and 50,000 miles when you spend $2,000. My husband and I both got the card - 200,000 miles!! That is 2 trips to Europe (or you can spend the miles any where else British Airways or American Airlines flys ... thinking Hawaii for next year!).:cool1:

You still have to pay quite a bit in fees (especially the fuel charge) - but it should save you at least half of the airfare price if you can get the deal.

:wave2:Good Morning All:wave2:
:woohoo:I have been ignoring this thread lately but I am still here & going:woohoo:
