July 30, 2010 Mickey's Adventures England to Espana Cruise

HerrQSmee checking in. We just returned from the 7-day Thanksgiving cruise to the Western Carribean. Even with all of the economic mess and job insecurity, we went ahead and booked the Dover to Barcelona trip onboard to lock in the discount and onboard credit. We decided that it was better to put down the deposit and dream than worry about the economy! :cool1:

Our cruise was great. The new TV's in the staterooms look sharp and the carpeting in the atrium and stairwells looked fresh and clean. The shows, food, and ports were all outstanding (as usual).

On our second day at Castaway Cay, the Wonder made a close pass by the island. The ships called out to each other with their horns. You could see that Deck 10 of the Wonder was packed with cruisers! Shutters sold a photo of the Magic at dock, the Wonder passing by, and the Flying Dutchman in the foreground between them. It was very cool.

Looking forward to getting to know all of you over the next 18 months or so!

[but as this cruise get closer, we hope to tweak our plans. has anyone
here..been to disneyland paris? that's a must do for us...& one of the
main reason..this cruise was our first desire! [ is it a 2 dayer or can
be done..in a single day? & what are the "don't miss? do we need
to speak french?..ha! ..i kno..how the french " " english,:lmao: ]

My son and I visited Disneyland Paris but weren't impressed. It seemed more geared towards the little ones. I felt so bad for my son that I agreed to go on the roller coasters with him (I am deathly afraid of them). :scared: :scared: I enjoyed Rock and Roll and would ride that again but Space Mountain nearly killed me!!! :scared1: The poor guy who rode behind us was really concerned for me when I got off - but I survived -- and will never do it again. I was really glad that tower of terror was closed for work or else I probably would have agreed to do that too. We only went into the parks on two days, spent one day in Paris, and our last day just resting for the trip home and shopping! We had some fellow cruisers who just loved it though -- but then they were more adventurous than me!:rotfl:

BTW -- neither one of us knows French but didnt' have any problems communicating!

We love coasters -- so maybe that was one of the things we liked better about this park -- three coasters with inversions compared to one at WDW (Rock and Roller) and DL (Cali Screamin).

:scared: :sad2:  :scared1:  :scared1:

The coasters at Universal are even better -- Incredible Hulk and Duelling Dragons!:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 You'd better not go to a park with me, JoAnn, we might ride an inverted coaster instead of Small World:laughing:

whoooooooa, i'm vback , outta the woods....[we own 20 acres out in
the country.....that we use for recreation]..,

universal? park...i happen`stance...think this is the best bargain park..
in the country~...[we been going since....the early 90's..{ our oldest,
was/still...a giant ghost buster fan-* note..he has every figure ever made.
..& of course....that lead..to scary & monsterous...hobby. } you should
"see"...some of the figures..he has collected..not your typical g.i joes.

 .

speaking of our kids...we support their interests...& stuff...because
they never do drugs, don't like etoh, or has never even tried to
smoke....alot of my co~workers..reminded me all the time..how
lucky we are...( i try to help them..with their kids..by their requests,
...as they kno...& see....my work on a daily basic) psst don't be
impress..., as mentioned before...." my primary inyrevetions..are
directly from....the bible- { knowledge base] , & "reminders"....
from what they already..kno..but forgotten, our..family values.

i cannot stessed enough..how "valulable" ..the "directions"..we
can used...to recover our "flair" for positive~productive living..
...that i refer to..as "the dick & jane"...teachings. :thumbsup2
...these lil'books..should hav never been removed..from our
primary school..:headache: .......& "this"..explaines..my feelings
..for disney~..the last exposure...we have , connecting us &
our children...to our past..., ways..of getting the most out of
life.

"everything must change", by george benson....nothing wrong..with
that, except making the choices....that will most likely produce....
our hearts' desires. funny..the theme... from, the hunt for red october
..was about changing..."attitudes"...between super powers..to
preserve..both countries..instead of war, seem liked a good idea
for the future.

notice?..i talk alot, well..thats me. while its hard, to express...
the details...so others..can see what your about, "this' is how
i've been living life. & i feel these basic reminders..must be onto
something...when co~workers..are requesting....your "help"...
with thier children. they "see"...the "effects"..@ work. abc's
of making life....meet one's desires....

someone..on the community baord..asked the "meaning for
life?".......ok?...here's what makes..up my world, and explains..
...everything...one can expect..from me..

* that's why i mentioned above, becuase there are some things, in the
past..that still effects...my choices..but are no longer current. for
example..i've always been a great fan//of /for the dick & jane readers.
& because of that, is why..we sought out activiites for our kids
growing..up....boys scout, irish dancing, soap box derby, ballet,
..& so forth.

the current #1..meaning for life..to me?..is my wife, kids, family,
....my work, friends, college football, &...."disney" + cruises.

...whats i felt..about disney....would probably shock you...but,
..i saw "it",,as a duty...[ i hated the crowds]..but now, with improved
palnning....i can't tell of the praises..it deserve!

..& while..this isn't a 100% sure cruise yet...i 'm very ...:yay: ....toward
making it "our" reality. what an adventure....& it is something...."we"
dreamed about.....liked some, 30 years ago,,:goodvibes

anyway. thankls for listening...& i hope...everyone here....is going,
& it serve..some sort of....menaings...in your life, :cloud9:

..see?...i do talk..alot, but that's nothing new..if you don't beleive me..
ask.,..my sweetie,

:flower3: ,
ps..thanks~ for the great idea.....i think speaking..a lil' french..might
give one, some magical moment/s! pixiedust:

oh, where's my manners..sorry.......but,

:welcome: ..a big one, :cheer2: ..to all the ?new-comers?!

That's too funny! My girls and I always plan how we will look for the photos in coasters we have ridden before and know when they take the photo (sometimes thumbs up, or rock on, or peace sign, etc., etc.):rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Maybe we should all do "scared senseless" once!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

You know how many splash mountain pic's we have.
I so wish that Disney would sell digital copies of these they wouldn't even need media, they could just e-mail them to you!
