A DCL cruise is a perfect vacation for you to travel alone with your girls. We are doing this cruise leaving dad at home for the 4th time and each cruise has been better than the last.

I'm travelling alone with my DD Lydia (12) and can't wait to have some fun together, a real adventure

I did a blog of our second cruise and started it for this cruise, if you are interested.

Love your blog :dance3: I've added myself as a follower so I can read it another day :thumbsup2

Well, it's official. I paid the money this morning.

I went with air that cost a little more than the cheapest I could find, but had a HUGE added convenience factor. Will do a couple pre-days in London and a post day in Barcelona. Next to do...look at excursions, etc.

Looking forward to meeting many of you and to seeing some old friends!

Thanks Scotishwee for the info you PM'd re the lanyards. Just wanted to post on the thread to say thank you and that it really is appreciated that you took the time to organise and order them :)

KCashner, that is great news, it will be lovely to meet you in person after all the great posts of helpful advice etc... which you put on the boards :)

Glad to hear you are coming , covenience is always good especially on long trips. I was tempted to book flights using points but it would have required 3 connections so I too went for the conveniece and have direct flights:thumbsup2

Got my passports yesterday, so we ready to go.

Dirk - I am sorry Belguim was bottom:rolleyes1 wooden spoon for them  but Italy and Belguim was first times to join in Deaf Euro Karting... I had chatting with Belguim Deaf Group as they are using one hand sign just like ASL... I had a bit communication with them which was good...

Belgium is mostly at the bottom, except when it's about beer, chocolates and good food... :rotfl:

We just booked a 2 night stay at Disneyland Resort Paris, in the Newport Bay Club, last weekend of june. And we're thinking about a short trip to Meyerwerft in Papenburg, where the "Disney Dream" is being built right now. It's about 270 miles from where we live: and we would like to go before we do this cruise...

Stayed at the Newport Bay Club last year and had a good time.
Hope you can get to visit the 'Dreams' home. That sounds like a good trip to me.

Oh how I wish I could leave Dad at home!:rotfl:

I haven't decided about the FE yet. I'm going to be limited with luggage but DD Alice loves doing them

That hotel where I took two kids with me in July about oh 5 years ago...

Mind you Newport Bay Club is nice hotel, lovely inside swimming pool but one thing I dislike that long walk to room feel like a mile to walk turn right then left then right... oh murder....

Nice hotel but I prefer next door to New York hotel called S?

I like that one better...

Glad to hear a good review of this hotel as we are staying there prior to our precruise stay in London. Any suggestions or tips?

So you are doing DLP first, then going to London what a great trip!, how many days in Paris!

The girls just recently figured out that there are more Disney parks than just California and Florida, and they are planning to visit them all. I think I have started something I may regret.

:cheer2: :cheer2: 9 WEEKS TO GO :cheer2: :cheer2:

:yay::cool1: UNTIL THE ENGLAND TO ESPANA CRUISE :cool1::yay::banana:

:thumbsup2  :woohoo:DCL HERE WE COME!!! :woohoo:  :thumbsup2

Hooray! Single figures in terms of weeks left to go. Diet is not going too badly, lost a pound this week. 9lbs left to go my original target. In reality I will be happy with another 5lbs loss before we sail.

Next week is the half term holiday in the UK and DD2 has her 5th burthday next Friday. So all week we have different visitors and parties! I have ordered the girls a trampoline for the garden which I hope will arrive by her birthday!

Have a great weekend everyone,
Mel

We have never been to Europe so we are trying to do it all at once! Three days in Paris and three days in London precruise.

Just booked private guide & van for Lisbon!

Forgive me if this is covered elsewhere (if I read 110 pages, I'd probably miss it anyhow!) Does anyone know anything about tours of Normandy beaches, etc. other than climbing on the DCL bus for $180 per person?

I've done a bit of on line looking tonight, but would love to hear what others are finding.

Just what it says in the DCL website! DCL will always be more $$$$$

If you do not like what you are reading try cruisecritic!

That is why I just booked a private tour for Lisbon! DCL was $119 per adult for a half day tour!

I booked the $99 excursion through DCL in Normandy for my husband - the girls and I will do something else while he is gone.
