Just saw on face book that they are starting to sell tickets to the fly over Canada attraction.

DH is debating renting a tux for the cruise.

We were wondering exactly "How formal is formal" on the Alaska cruise?

Is anyone else planning to get all dressed up in tux for the gents and gowns for the ladies?

If DH rents a tux can he wear it on both the formal and "semi-formal" nights?
Just wondering.....

We aren't planning on getting that formal. You will see some people get really dressy and others do not.

I do not think we will do tux/gown this cruise (we did on a previous Dream cruise when we had New Year's Eve formal night). But we will be dressed up (still haven't figured out the packing for this trip!!)

My boys will be wearing a suit on semi formal night (the last dinner before disembarking) and I am having them wear vests under for the formal night (the 2nd night on the ship) and I am wearing a gown....I called the cruise line to confirm that there would be both occasions....im not sure how dressed up it usually is but I figure it will be fun

Usually I'll do a suit or at least coat & tie for formal night, and just a shirt & tie for semiformal, but I was recently given a tuxedo, so I may be rocking that on formal night.
