I've popped in every once in a while but didn't leave a trail - was being a ghost. But then realized that I lost some of the tabls so had to save them again.

Hey girl! How's the family? How's the girls and your son??? We need updates!!!

Sorry - forgot I hadn't updated. Well here it is in a nutshell:

DS - 21 - returned home in Mid-December. Amazing how having to be the responsible one in an apartment of 4 boys makes you long to go home. He's now back at home. He's working part-time at a newspaper in a solo slot which suits him just fine. He is definitely going on the July cruise barring any godforsaken accidents/problems.

DD - 20 - is really looking forward to it now. This past weekend we ended up buying her a sash and a tiara that I told her she would need to wear as we board the ship and we even bought her a shotglass on a rope for her that says - Finally 21 and heading for the bar. I thought is was cool. Her deal was if she had to wear it - everyone in our group would have to take a shot of tequila at dinner and toast her. Plus - her BFF is coming with us again. Girl is a lifesaver. She is my buffer between all the kids - everyone should have a BFF like that.

DD - 14 - is desperately trying to con DH and I into going to the repo with us in August but I am holding steady in NO! Other than that - she is busy at work now in soccer, her JV team is so far undefeated with 3 games to go. Another one tomorrow where I get to play with my new lenses.

As for me - I am getting a late start in planning a lot of things. But I am muddling through it. DH has started to play poker again so I hope he's lucky again. I got some cruises to pay for.

FIL and MIL are supposed to go sailing with us in July but that may be up in the air. He's going in on Thursday for a CAT scan to check on some tumors in his lungs. More on this at another time when I know something so that is why things are iffy.

Well, that is about it - I'm sure I"m leaving a lot out but that is all I can recall for now. I was just informed that the girls soccer team would like some more of my cookies after the game. Last game I put fruit loops into snack bags and took some water and they really like that. Can't say it made me popular with the Varsity team. But hey - varsity gets all the breaks right.

Hey Laura, it's great to hear the updates! Glad to hear your son's home! My family is ALL OVER THE PLACE! We've had to make some changes to our cruise plans, however......now we're not sailing until July 2009....for reasons, see below..........

DD23 is currently studying in Hamburg, Germany......between the lack of funds (her), the lack of communication (little current Internet access and no knowledge of German)....it's been alittle tough but getting better daily! We're visiting in March.......... She has a blog and we've been communicating thru that and AIM mostly.

DD20 plans to study for 6 weeks in Rome in May/June.............see above for concerns about that!

DD17 will graduate in June........we just found out yesterday that her BF has just committed to her college as well..............

So, other than that............things are pretty quiet around here!

Oh yea, I forgot, Mom & Dad are married 50 years this summer (July!)

Wow Joanne your family is busier than mine. I hope all turns out well for you and your girls. I would love to say that one of my kids studied abroad but around here its not to common - the demographics around here is middle-to-mid-low income so not a lot of opportunites around here.

I'm trying to get Megan -the oldest to go - another BFF is going to Barcelona this July and I told her she should try going to that school and catch up with her - no dice. She'd rather muddle along here. Oh well,
