Hi all,

Do you ever feel like dcl telephone operators dont know what they are talking about?

I was reading info on the dcl website about checking in and it states "If you have booked a Barcelona hotel on your own, please call Disney Cruise Line® at (800) 395-9374† and select option #1 to learn when and where to check in for your voyage and to receive information about your departure to the Port of Barcelona

so I just called them (bearing in my that its an international call and not cheap) and was put on hold for ages and the op said you can find the info on our website - I disagreed and repeated what the website said. She then went away again and when she came back she said we board your cruise @ 3pm and and DCL reps will be at the airport until 3pm. But i wont be at the airport I explain again I am flying in 4 days prior to the cruise. She then siad the termial opens @ 12. At this point I think why did I bother?

I am just going to wait and find out what the other disers do on the cruises before ours !!!

I only phoned in the first place because thier website to me too !!!:headache:

I have booked my own hotel for the week before and will wait for the information pack to be sent out and then the tickets, I will not call a premium USA number.

If they do not tell me I will look for the ship from my hotel and ask the taxi to take me there, I dont think he would be able to miss it.

Does anyone know if the barcelona excursion are running prior to our cruise. The nfo seems to suggest not?
"AQUARIUM AND PARK GUELL Tour Available: One Day Prior to Embarkation Day, Departure 2:00 p.m. Embarkation Day, Departure 1:45 p.m. May 25, Departure 9:00 a.m. Aug. 19, Departure 9:00 a.m. Aug. 19, Departure Noon "

Congratulations! Now all you have to do is sit back and wait for them.

Okay, I wanted to do a multiple quote on this reply, but no can do - will do a new reply for Andrew.:confused3

Anyone thinking of booking one of the West coast or Repos in 2008?

Hi Andrew - I have been reading and trying to stay updated with all those threads for next year.

I had posted a pretty long thread on my (our) experience with the West Coast cruise last year - but No - we will not be doing one of the West Coast cruises again (don't want to re-type the whole thread) -

I would love to do them repo./Panama back in 08 but I don't think finances will allow us to - we usually cruise every other year - will do something smaller/less expensive in 08 - probably wdw - who knows, nothing definite yet. I can always do this with just my dh and my dd. Time will tell.

Are you? or like Andrew asked, anyone here planning on booking one of these cruises?

BTW - I had also replied to a thread for disneynutt asking if he was planning on leaving the thread or the disboards. I can't even find my reply and not sure if he is still around :confused3

Hey all, just back from checking out some excursions.............it will be tough to decide!! :dance3:

We already sailed the West Coast cruise ports and they weren't my favorite. Even beautiful Cabo was riddled with crafty street vendors who left a bad taste in my mouth for that area.............

I would love to go back to a Eastern or Western Caribbean cruise in 2008, maybe the Wonder will switch up between 3, 4 and 7 day itineraries.......:confused3

We are really trying to research several of the excursions, and what can be done on our own. I am not one to be locked into something all day...yet that seems to be the trend. Oh well!

We hadn't planned on the '08 West Coast, as we were wanting our kids to attend a golf camp that is held in Ireland and Scotland each summer. Now we may have to really find some creative savings!

By the way...congrats on committing to the passports!!!!

I am interested if the price doesnt bankrupt me.
disneynut seems to have been banded from this site, shame after doing so much work for everyone.

How do you know that disneynutt has been banned. If he wanted, couldn't he just log on with a new logon? Did you see how many times he has the Walt or Roy suite? The whole month of Sept 07 and well as the repo over and the first cruise in the Med.

Remember, I am going on a three day next week. I will PM you. I really want to do the East bound repo through the PC in Aug. not sure though.....

My husband desparately wants to go through the canal I really hope the dates work for us we'll know tomorrow fingers crossed

I met Dave (Disneynutt) in our West Coast cruise. We had the pleasure of having a great dismeet/party in Ron's suite (Dave was with him).

It's a shame. Many people snoop around/serach for documents/permits. Did he go too far?:confused3

Excursions

Have really not looked at them since they were announced/posted.

I think we might be doing, Palermo - visit my relatives (my hometown Carini).
Florence and Pisa in Florence
Pompei, Sorrento and Capri in Naples
Rome - can't decide between three of them - Ultimate Rome
Highlights of rome and Vatican
Museums or
Vatican Museums, Sistine
Chapel % St. peters Basilica
Obia, Sardegna - can't decide between a tour or Beach

This is it so far.
