A wretched soul, bruised with adversity,
We bid be quiet when we hear it cry;
But were we burdened with like weight of pain,
As much or more we should ourselves complain.

William Shakespeare

Laptops are terrible for your wrists. Best is an ergonomic split keyboard. Switched to that and my wrist problems were gone within days and never returned.

I have tried that keyboard and found it difficult to get used to. If I use my office computer, the chair and keyboard are set for the right height for me and I don't have any problems.

Hi Sandra,
Just me. I'll take care of it. Thanks for offering though.

Thanks again!

I am glad they stopped it too, I think they are testing out the new Prime minister, or trying to push him to pull troops out.

I thought the UK had pulled all of their troops already. I pray that the new PM has a backbone.

Hey Isabel - I just did that today. I made the HORRIBLE HORRIBLE mistake of taking my DD's back to Marshall's to return my sherbert colored suitcases ( :sad1: ) well one of them anyway. :headache: :headache:
Took DD13 to the mall yesterday to pick up a few things. She had her own money so it cuts down on the requests. When she asks for something, I ask her if she has enough money and does she want to spend it on whatever it is she's wanting. If she doesn't want to spend her money on it why should I spend mine? :confused3

If an item cost $40 dollars but 2 people can get use out of them - its actually like paying only $20 for each as opposed to $40 for each. Does this make sense to anyone else? Or have I just been up too many late nights in a row?
Only a teenage girl could make that logic work. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I think I am in the minority here. I don't like shopping and the part I hate most is returning items. I also try not to pick up anything for someone at home because I know I will get stuck returning/exchanging it.

Have fun today!

I'm the same way. I make a list ,go into the store and grab exactly what I need then leave. No looking around!!! Only go into stores on the list. Always stop for Ice Cream it's my reward for entering the mall in the first place. ;) ;)

I hope everyone has a great day.

For anyone who is planning on participating in the Fish Extender gift exhange please post your dis name and room # or PM me. I'm keeping list and will post it with room #s to make deliveries easier.

Sandra

as of right now i'm doing the fish extender. i need to work on mine. i think i'm in room 7501.

I have never got into fish extenders or doing up the stateroom door, maybe lack of space in suitcases, closest was a union jack flag on the verandah.

I have been seeing that on our BBC TV news all morning cost $500 (£250) seemed a bit mad, did see a lady in a propeller hat !!!

Julie- It was worth every penny- I have had the same phone for three years now- just a plain ordinary cell phone- I was one of those people who thought things like this are ridiculous- but I cant believe how fantastic this device is- We are going to a communion party today- we will probably be sitting in traffic for 2 hours or so- now I have the world at my fingertips- all my music, two movies, my podcasts of our cruise, which I have not had time to watch- but now I will since I cant clean, do laundry, or other things that need to be done around the house, in the car, without feeling guilty!!!

Its an early birthday gift from my one in a million husband who you will love- he is a great all around human !!!!

Hey Isabel - I just did that today. I made the HORRIBLE HORRIBLE mistake of taking my DD's back to Marshall's to return my sherbert colored suitcases ( :sad1: ) well one of them anyway. So I returned and got back $225.00 dollars. What I got in return as I was making a last minute lap was a pair of Aerosoles heels that I just bought 12 days ago at $30. They were at another Marshalls for $22. A savings of $8 before taxes.

So what do oldest DD and I discuss? Buying this and returning the original still in their boxes - I do the same things - don't cut off the tags, take out of boxes until the morning of wearing (except for jeans - these go immediately into the washer). Anyway, so after we make sure that we have everything we want - I go and pay. As the cashier is ringing up the shoes - she has to open and check the sizes. Younger DD chimes up VERY LOUDLY -

"Why are you buying another pair - you already have those?"

I looked at her and said - "no I don't."

To which she replies again - yes you do - you bought them when I was with you at the other store for $30.

Then older DD chimes up with - "You must be mistaken April - you're wrong."

This of course starts up WWIII and meanwhile I'm ready to wring her little scrawny neck! This is me - :furious: Thinking - just wait until I get out to the car.

Morale of the story: Don't take Dudley Do-right with you when exchanging and or hedging your purchases.

(For those that don't know who Dudley Do-Right is - he is a cartoon character of the Royal Mounty Police who is a do-gooder who cannot live with injustice sometimes to the peril of those around him.

Oh And the worst part of the story? Those savings I got from returning items? DD's made me buy them these "Oh look mom - these will go perfect for the cruise and if we share the clothes we can get quadruple wear out of them."

:headache: :headache:

Its hard to argue with that. Oh and here's another theory that only a mom of similar siblings can relate too.

If an item cost $40 dollars but 2 people can get use out of them - its actually like paying only $20 for each as opposed to $40 for each. Does this make sense to anyone else? Or have I just been up too many late nights in a row?
Back to savings - the original $225 I got back? I spent $221. :sad2:

Second morale of the story - don't take girls shopping with you. You get nothing.

Fantastic stoy Laura :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: I had a wonderful picture of your two DD arguing at the checkout with you turning beetroot red :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

I'm glad that it's everything it seemed to be -- I have so much respect for the company and their products (we have 4 iPods and 2 Macbooks currently). Congrats on such a wonderful gift (and for picking a wonderful husband!).

Morning Andrew.. I missed you...The news camaras were there!!! I wouldnt dare risk dirtying my hat before the cruise.. I was the one jumping up down in the background while fanning myself every 20 minutes or so since there were no fountains near the line !!!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
Yes- it was 599.00 dollars (more memory) but again, I cant tell you how wonderful it is... I really do not do things like this that often!!:woohoo: :woohoo:

I saw one 'big' guy buy two and he was a 'bit' excited, arm gesture as if he just scored in the world cup. Enjoy.

WOW £300 for a phone. I hope it lives up to all the hype. I'd really like to see it if you decide to bring it with you

Congrats Jeanne!

Sandra, count us in for a grab bag from NY but NOT the fish extender. Cabin 6580. Thanks for doing this. (You are keeping track of both aren't you? Or am I mixed up as usual?)

Well as you can see we're back from the school fete. I do feel so sorry for them as it was and still is really raining hard. They tried their best but unfortunatly it just wasn't the same as having it in the sunshine. Still my kids managed to spend £15 on tokens and had a great 1 1/2 hours playing.

Sandra as much as I'd love to participate in the fish extender "thing" I just really don't see how I'm going to find the time to organise it.Also we have severe weight restrictions as we're only flying short haul, so count me out please.
