July 28, 2007 - "Rome-ancing the Mouse Cruisers" -11 days! Part 3

It's very humid here. I like the heat so that's not a problem. There is something wrong with the airconditioner in my car and it is leaking water onto the floor. THe rugs are very wet and with this humidity we are having a very difficult time getting them dried out.

IT didn't help that I took DD13 and her friend and my Uncle from Australia to the Science Museum in Boston/Cambridge, about 30 miles in traffic. The air conditioner ran non stop and it was 103 degrees.

I'll take it in to get fixed tomorrow but our other car doesn't have airconditioning and we are expecting another 100 degree day. I have 4 appointments tomorrow so I have to drive. So I'd rather wait another day but I don't know if that's such a good idea.

I'm so glad the trip is just 28 days away. We are getting very excited and I'm sure we are not alone.

WE couldn't get Palo tea reservations. Would anyone be interested in trying for the private dining room for Tea? I'm not sure if Disney will even allow it but it's worth a try. If you haven't been to tea it is wonderful.

Just let me know if you are interested.

Sandra

I just checked the Disney website and they are not offering room for the 7/28 cruise. There are still room available for the 7/7 cruise.

The Palo private room is lovely and I'm sure you will all have a fantastic time.

To the person who hadn't been to Palo before, I would advise that you plan for at least one meal NOT in the private room, the atmosphere and view from the restaurant are very different than in the private room.

And the other thing for you Brunch palo'ers to keep in mind is that it gets hot in there! The challenge is: you either keep the shades open so you can enjoy the view (but then the sun streams in if it's a sunny day), or you close the shades to keep cool and then you have no view.

The private room big window looks out to the side of the ship, the restaurant looks out toward the back.

Either way - Palos is lovely and delicious! We will be there for brunch on sea days - in the regular restaurant section.

Pixie dust,

Susy

I agree completely! I would much prefer to be in the regular dining room. Consider the options and make the decision, either way the food is just the best! I can hardly wait for the "stolen bread!"--one of my favorites!

Good nite all

That is what we decided to do Suzy - keep our regular reservation - thanks for your input and everyone elses.

I wonder how much more I would get done in my life if I wasn't always checking the boards? Oh, well, this is fun and I can't wait to meet everyone.

None of these were taken by me, so thanks to other DIS'ers who took/posted them.

The coolest part - DS got to honk the horn for Sail Away!

These took me WEEKS to make. I made collages of lots of our Disney trips and experiences from over the years, DL, WDW, previous DCL.
