And, so to keep sort of on topic. We've been talking about excursions... but, what about things happening on the ship?

Do you experienced cruisers go to the games shows & play bingo?
I'll admit it, I'm a participater.........I try to get picked for everything!!! :goodvibes :cutie: :)

We nearly had a domestic when we tried the dance class don't think we'll be going there again!!!!:rotfl: :rotfl:
On my last cruise, I went to a few dance classes by myself and by the end of it, some guy asked me to dance! I told Ken, HE BETTER NEVER LEAVE ME ALONE AT ANOTHER DANCE CLASS!! It was funny and I learned how to salsa & partner dance!!:goodvibes

Domestic: a argument between two spouses??

The long wait is over, we finally know WHO IS OUR PIRATE QUEEN!!! Laura!!!

And WHAT an original post....."go".......what quirky use of language, what creativity, how clever!!!
:thumbsup2 :rotfl2: :thumbsup2 :rotfl2: :thumbsup2

JKJKJKJKJK.............

Such dedication deserved a big Pirate well done Laura glad to help

9999 pretty numbers Andrew:lmao:

Good Night all you night owls on the West Coast
I need to go to school now and concentrate on this inspection, but thanks for the light relief!
GL today, let us know how things went!:wizard:

Yes planning is kicking in now, I have been in contact with DCL a few times this week, on various things

Sometimes the guides have a large umbrella to follow, I am not sure if the propeller hats will not make us stand out a bit too much for the public.

No problem.... I will get one for the guide too !!!!!!
I just thought of another great reason we should all wear them..... picture it now....you will all be able to surround me in a circle and tip the top of your heads towards me, sooooo... when I am having a flash, the wind from all the propellers will cool me down..... therefore.... my clothes will stay on... I will stay out of the fountains....and no arrests!!!!:rotfl2: :lmao: :lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl2:

I know....
I AM A GENIUS !!!

You're so funny Laura....

Ice to cool your computer!

AND on top of that your notebook had a power warning from being unplugged! THAT IS THE SAME as my situation. I am on an older notebook with a battery that barely holds any charge - and if I unplug it from the wall - the battery lasts a hand full of minutes at best!

Once again - congrats - you're technically the Sneakiest of SNEAKY Pirates with the 10,000th thread posting! What notariety!!!

Everyone have some rum!!!
You're very entertaining.........thanks for stopping by and being a part of the excitement!!!:dance3:

Heeelllloooooooo, I'm a teacher............the only part of my job that's tough is that I HAVE TO TRAVEL DURING SCHOOL ]

I too can only travel during our school holidays- we have become quite good at avoiding long lines and crowds at Disney World during those times!!!

I know I said I'd be away for a bit I've popped in today because I need to chill. I've had another bad day today.. I must say Andrew's toilet paper form made me roar with laughter:lmao: :lmao:

Ok, guys, we have to start getting serious around here.........it's crunch time!!!:cool1:

Okay, here are pics of the Black Pearl.

Here it is in Redondo Beach. They would sail it to the cove where Marineland used to be, and then sail back to Redondo Beach. People say that the stars, especially Johnny Depp, were very generous with signatures for the fans.

I had gone to Redondo Beach, and then when I saw the BP I called Kelly at home & asked her if she wanted to see it. She jumped. So here she is taking a pic of it.

This is what I had posted earlier about the Black Pearl when it was in San Pedro:

I heard the Black Pearl was in town, so my ds, Nick, & I went to go check it out. (Thanks for the tip, minnietoo)

We took these from above Cabrillo Beach

We decided to see if we could actually get close to the Black Pearl, and after driving to a couple of marinas, finally found it, but this is the closest we could get to it.

Afterwards we took a couple more shots from the Cabrillo Marina area.

Here are some shots we took while driving around.

Cabrillo Beach with the Black Pearl in the distance (to the left in the far distance is the dome where they used to have the Spruce Goose & to the left of that is the Queen Mary, Long Beach. Long Beach is really close to San Pedro.

Cabrillo beach and the breakwater that keeps the waves from the Los Angeles Harbor in San Pedro.

This is the coastline off of the Palos Verdes Peninsula looking towards Point Fermin & the LA Harbor beyond. (You can't see it from here, but Trump's golf course is there, too - anyone who saw the first year of the Apprentice might remember that the winner had the choice of working on this golf course or a building back east).

This is looking towards Point Vicente & Catalina Island in the background. Down below is the former site of Marineland (you can still see the giant white water spouts that marked the entrance to the drive there if you look very closely right behind the spanish tiled rooftops). There used to be a statue of Bubbles the whale there, too. I heard that the set for the fort was down there, so we droved down where the empty lot is. At the end is a drive that goes down to the shore, but there was a no trespassing sign, so we didn't drive down it. I didn't want to get into trouble. We did see some fresh palm trees on the ground, though. hmmmm

It is a really beautiful day here today, in the high 70's by the beach. I love Southern California :sunny:

Fantastic pictures!! Thanks for sharing!!:surfweb:

All the sudden, I'm sorta relieved that we not scheduled to go to any excursions with Sallie!!!:sad2: :cutie:

Jo Ann ...
I was hoping you and everyone else would join us..... It would be like sitting on a balmy beach with the cool breezes surrounding me at every turn!!! Come on... dont be a propeller pooper :dance3:

Ok- serious question.. does anyone have those hydration backpacks I've been looking- its a backpack with a water storage bag, and a long straw thing. Jimmy says it will be too heavy to carry, and the water has no way of keeping cool... If anyone has one or has tried one, please let me know if it is worth the expense and the weight. thanks:thumbsup2
