DisneySpirit congratulations!!! I had my hopes up but checked and still have GTY. I'm so impatient.

We decided to see the Casino during the day so we can be back on the ship for the party and fireworks. We were looking forward to the dressing up and the Grand Casino experience but this way we can see the Casino and the fireworks and party. It's too bad Disney didn't rethink the timing of the new deck party.

We also have a new laptop and wireless. It's addictive. I wasn't online nearly so much when I had to go into my office to log in but now I can be anywhere.

Good Morning everyone!!!

Today is the first official day of our summer vacation. THe weather is wonderful and the 10 day forecast shows sun and 80 degrees every day I think this is the first summer in a very long time that started off with such nice weather.

Now I will have time to start getting ready for the cruise.

DD13 gets her braces today. We decided to wait until school was out so she wouldn't have to worry about them on her class trip. She's not looking forward to them at all. DS15 will get his off at the end of the summer. He's quite ready for them to be gone.

THen I can get to the fabric store for fabric for the fish extender. It does seem like it might be getting overwhelming with so many people involved but since we have never done it before I'm going to give it a try. DH is getting nervous that with all of the Dis activities we are not going to have time for the cruise.

Well, I'm off to start the day.

They can go on the daytime excursion that includes the casino - they just can't go into the casino. We are going to leave our kids for a few minutes so that we can run in and look around - we're not big gamblers. But, I do want to look inside. If DH wants to stay a few, the kids and I can wander around outside.

We don't really gamble either so the daytime compromise works for us. Are you going to book the DCL excursion? WE have it booked but are considering taking the train and going on our own. We are waiting to see what others are saying about going it on their own.

We booked Disney here -I have 3 privates (Naples, Rome and Pisa) and 2 Disney (Palermo and Monaco/Nice/Eze - is that what it's called?). Figured doing 3 privates would be enough - let 2 of them be easy ones. We are going to do Marseille on our own. Olbia is still in the air - I just want to go to a beach. But, there are 5 of us and finding a big cab won't be easy - so, we'll see on that one.

DW just checked our reservation online and we have a stateroom # instead of just Cat 6 GTY. We are in 5648.
It's on deck 5 in the stern where the curve starts on the starboard side. Looks like possibly a little bigger balcony as a result. Anybody ever stayed there?

I work in the office so I have to go back on 9/4 for a staff meeting and to get my office ready also get the files set up for the new students and move up the kids files into the new grades etc... then the 1st day of school is Thursday Sept 6. We get a nice long summer this year.

I am on the Emergency and Safety Planning Board representing our school in the town so I do have a few meetings to go to over the summer. I'm not sure of the dates but I know one is July 25th. I don't know how focused I'll be since we leave for our vacation the next day.

Oh my good god no !!!!!

Turkey Shnitzle is a fresh peice of turkey breast covered in a little beaten egg and then coated in fine Matzo meal and then shallow fried. Both son's think it's mannar made in heaven

I ordered 10 more lanyards and reels. So now I have 13 lanyard available, although I haven't heard back from ukmickeyc yet. Please contact me if you are interested in getting a lanyard.
6/14 Lanyards are being made. With the extra bucks that people included in their payment and I forked out a bit, I bought 9 extra lanyards with reels. I did order some extra badge reels just in case some show up dead on arrival or someone changes their mind and want one. ETA: 5 lanyards are left .
Disneylover is making name cards for the lanyards, so please contact her to let her know what name to print.

Cost will be $2.63 per lanyard which includes a badge holder
Add $1 for each reel. Let me know if you want black or red reels. If you don't say, it will be black.
