Ok as promised this is what my two boys have been doing today...they were WDW Monorail Imagineers !!!

My husband was tempted to buy this set several times - he might enjoy it more than our kids would!!

We have been DVC members since 1992 with 350 points at OKW.
We just recently added 150 points at the new AKV and are looking forward to staying there when the facilities are completed. (Not to mention that now with 500 points total = more cruises!)

We just bought some AKV too - it looks so awesome!!

:duck:
Wow, impressive. My kids are pretty much doing nothing except aggravating each other so far for the day.
Penny

Wow, sounds like my kids!!

so who got the pirate: ?
Gosh, I wonder??

Most of the above posts are known as "Brit Chat".....it's not something that Americans can understand.....it sort of like "their private language"...........if you have no idea what it all means.....YOU ARE NOT ALONE:scared1: :sad2:  :confused3 :upsidedow[/quote]
It's like they're from another country or something??:confused3

A true pirate!pirate: She steals, she plunders, she pillages..........

Good one!!

E = Euro's

Most are road's and towns.

For A12 = Freeway
For M25 = Parking lot / and/or London orbital Expressway.
Essex= The people with the best sense of humor in the UK.

Hey, remember we invented ENGLISH you customized it!
Thanks for clearing that up, NOT!

Thank you again for organising this.
We are so excited for our lanyards!!

It means stick-in-the-mud people who spoil things for others for no obvious reason other than to stick their nosy beaks in

My son also likes the term fun-sucker - as in, "No, Mom, don't come on the field trip, you're a fun-sucker"

Hey, the tag fairy got me. Very funny! It made me laugh out loud...thank you, always a good thing.

Contrats!!
I have had to catch up on Doctor Who.

My husband has been watching that on and off since college - now he has my 13 year old into it too. I crocheted a Dr. Who scarf for him 20 years ago or so.

I have a smile playing round my lips all the time I'm reading this thread. My family thinks I'm off my trolley!!!

another good british quote!!

They have different numbers!

But she's American!

Helpful teenager is only an oxymoron when applied to your own teens. In general, and when asked politely, they can very helpful (though the results can be chaotic and surprising at times).

That's for sure!!

In this case I think it is "Helenitis" with a sub-diagnosis of "party-time". This is the kind of Helenitis I want !! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Thanks for posting this story, although I must say it doesn't surprise me one bit. I have been trying to explain to my family that 'personal space' isn't common around the world. My experience has been that while you will find a lot of places just fine, there are those that prey on the tourists. Everything I have been reading on the various places we will be visiting, have warned about these sort of tactics. The man wanting to be between her and her husband is just one simple tactic. I think she did the right thing by being vigilant and offering to let him go ahead.

Remember to never let your guard down, always keep an eye on your valuables. Especially your children, and your bags.

Just something that I have thought of, that might help some of you. My husband happens to be tall, and we will have a notebook backpack with us. My thought is to have him wear this bag, so that it will be higher up and more visible. Then, I will always be standing behind him. Our sons will be between us. The boys, get all the luggage. And I get all the paperwork. This is the normal formation we take when we go through any airport. When going through Security checkpoints we empty our pockets, etc, then he walks through the metal detectors before i allow the items to be sent through. He then stands at the other end until I get through. Something i wont do until I have sent everything through. This is easy as i take my time getting everything out of my pockets, and checking them twice. I realize this is a lot of forethought, and could be seen as over worrying. But, I would rather take a few extra steps than be taken.

Thx for your tips too!
