Thanks MaryJo, the powerpoints and excel are great! I was thinking of doing up a publisher type phamplet of the DISers. Just a handy pocket guide taking the info that you and Andrew have collected. Maybe, if I get with it, I can get it done and make copies for everyone for their fish hangers. I need to find that post that Laura put up so I can see what the fish hangars look like.

I vote we re-name the 5,000 post to Admiral Andrew.....in honor of his vacation and while he is away.....anyone with me?

Yes, I'm with you. I'm with MaryJo, I don't remember who Captain Tom is.

Question: What is the craziest thing you have done because you are excited about this cruise?

My answer: I stopped writing the kids names on their brown lunch bags and instead I kept a daily countdown on how many days till the cruise. I do this in permanent marker!!

So instead of ANNIE HALTERMAN it says 59 days till our Magic Cruise. The girls loved it.....but my DS17 said he was getting teased and I really needed to stop.....:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I told them they were just jealous that they don't have Disney crazed mom!

I'm a bit of a walker, I did the Moonwalk 2 years back and I do like walking round deck 4 in the early mornings about 7am till 8 am. which covers about 4 miles. Anyone else do any morning walks ?

I'm into doing morning walks. I'll join you when I can. I'm trying to figure out between all the excursions, when there will be time to walk especially since most of the excursions start like 0730 or 0800am. the only ports I didn't do excursions were Olbia. Villefranche, I have an afternoon excursion.

Pocket guides. I love it. So proactive. Can I hire you?

My girlfriend bought me a fish extender at the Dollar store in Centreville. I will go and look tonight, and if they have them, I will buy them and we can take orders.......I will be back on this one,
Lisa

Hi everyone can I join in here please ?

I've been active on the Creative forum but never thought to join in here. We're also on the 28th July cruise. We being me Isabel, DH Paul, DS age 11 Josh and DS age 9 Ethan. He live in London U.K .This will be our 3 DCL cruise having done a 7 day Eastern and the 10 night Xmas cruise last year.

I hope we can meet up with some of you onboard in 56 or so days time

:welcome:
Isabel, Paul, Josh and Ethan! I  your sons names!

Oh pot calling kettle black methinks! (do you have that saying in the US or do I need to translate?)

HEE HEE HEE - I hear that all the time on the EB Repo cruise for next year! In fact, :rolleyes1 I've been known to use it sometimes.

Nothing to do with a pirate of course!!!

:rotfl: :rotfl:

Okay, I only need 16 more, before "what's her name" comes back........see you all later!:hippie:

:lmao: :lmao:

Speaking of which, who ever missed a man so much, who wasn't your husband?

You know - if we keep talking about Andrew his head will swell to such an enormous size that there will be no living with him on the cruise. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: JUST KIDDING Andrew - we missed you  We just missed HELEN more! :rotfl2: Well, some of us did. How sad that in 1 week we weren't able to overtake the 2 Brits! :sad2:

pardon my ignorance but what are you all talking about ????
We probably sound soooo crazy! (but your comment made me laugh)

Well, I think Andrew started it. At the top right hand corner of your post is the post number. When it hits a number ending in 500 or 000 number its a pirate for whoever posted. You will notice a swarm of killer bees come out just as we get to within 20 posts of this. Although, of late, the board seems deserted and just as you reach the magical post, people come out of the woodwork with impeccable timing and snags the pirate away (sneaky pirates). Argggg...... pirate: pirate: pirate: Helenititis is when you start posting like 10 times in a row trying for that pirate. Helen is MrsJobba who is gone on vacation right now and so can't defend herself.
On page 1, post 10, Andrew lists the pirates won to date. Post 5000 is coming up, and its a biggie.

ETA: Oops, got that wrong, When the posts end in 00 or 000 is a pirate.pirate:

Very well explained. :thumbsup2

OMG, not again! I'm not smelly!pirate: pirate: pirate:

:lmao: :lmao:

thanks for the Pirate tutorial...I'll "keep a weather eye out" for the bees !!!!!
::yes::

trying to size my photo so we don't look like knats !!!
Great photo!

I vote we re-name the 5,000 post to Admiral Andrew.....in honor of his vacation and while he is away.....anyone with me?

Love this idea - I concur.

Glad you like them - I love your idea!

I put the picture of the fish extender up.....here it is again!

Thank you - I've been looking for them. Haven't found them yet.

OMG, not again! I'm not smelly!pirate: pirate: pirate:

Your smelly and I'm learning. What a team we all make. :lmao: :rotfl2:

Lynn - I agree - I  your summaries.

I think the slideshow I mentioned is on page 306, cant remember the post number but the originator is Capt Crash.

Anybody else with a new tag? I just love to see new ones.

For our DISNEYNUTINLONDON - are you familiar with tags? Those are the colorized saying underneath your name on the left hand side. Special, wonderful, magical creatures that 'tag' you when they find something worthy of quoting. Many live in fear of what is said (i.e.- Kyla who doesn't want to be smelly  or me who is learning something new every week  ) but we must remember - she never tags what isn't written first. :lmao: She is also the wonderful creature who created Andrew's rolling tag. Oh whom many of us are rather envious of might I add. :thumbsup2

Anyway, on those fabulous days when she deems us with her presence, you will find those that got tagged doing the  dance. Aurora1959 got tagged within 2 weeks of coming onbard and even one of your fellow countrypersons managed to snag a pirate: within her first 10 postings. So its beginner's luck I tell you. Jump in and hold on - its going to be a bumpy but magnificient ride!

Wow - I was going to power down but realized that we're about 50 away from Admiral Andrew. :rolleyes1

Wouldn't it be cool if you could get a license plate that changed color from pink to blue?

I was trying to figure out who Captain Tom is in the POTC movie. (duh)

A license plate that changes color? oooo that would be cool. I could settle on a frame though that changes color.

OK - I'm still lost. I never understood the Captain Tom thing. Although I vote to change it - can someone please explain it to me?

OMG, not again! I'm not smelly!pirate: pirate: pirate:
Oh, I feel bad for you - worse for whoever has to live with you :lmao:

trying to size my photo so we don't look like knats !!!

I tried to do a picture, but it was too large (bits/bytes/mego whoevers)

I don't know what you guys think, but here is my list of our officers:
Admiral Andrew
Captain Helen
Lieutenant Dan
Chief Technical Officer (CTO) MaryJo
Chief Communication Specialist (CCS) Lynn

I have some for others, but trying to still think of a more complete list that sounds more navel.
Like - Chief officer of helping to keep us all together - Kyla

I'm not sure about the rest of you, but the dvd sorta well, wasn't that great. I mean, as a first time cruiser, I expected to get a bit more info than I was able to get off of the dcl website. I mean, there was more info in the little packet that came out too.

:woohoo: :woohoo: Can't wait. :woohoo: :woohoo:
I love your titles! Well done!

I haven't watched the DVD yet - plan to this weekend. But, my daughter thought the podcasts were just OK - of course she is 15 and if they didn't use Abercrombie models in it, it probably wasn't worth her time.

I vote we re-name the 5,000 post to Admiral Andrew.....in honor of his vacation and while he is away.....anyone with me?

Oh, that is so sweet - I am game.

Pocket guides. I love it. So proactive. Can I hire you?

That is a great idea!!

I think the slideshow I mentioned is on page 306, cant remember the post number but the originator is Capt Crash.

Thanks for reminding us about that - I need to bookmark it.:surfweb:

I told them they were just jealous that they don't have Disney crazed mom!

I love it!!

The craziest thing I did was start my packing list about 12 months ago. I've since re-written it about 100 times. But it's an excel spreadsheet, with columns for each of us so that I can check it off as we have packed each item.

I'll have to wait until I get home tonight to see it. My work computer won't let me view photobucket

A trick I've learned. Use Firefox instead of IE. At work all of their firewall code only blocks Internet Explorer. In fact, ours is so strict that I sometimes can't even access the DIS using IE.
