July 2012 Who's Going Thread

Getting anxious too! But still a lot to do:

1) Get these stitches taken out of mouth- they are driving me nuts!
2) Leave detailed instructions for my almost 19 year old boys while we are gone- lock the doors, feed the birds and the Sea Monkies, find a job.
3) Decide on the "right" Disney look for my nails.
4) Decorate my Disney folder for all my hotel and park documents.
5) Find my LGMH.

You know, the usual...

I have a work conference in San Diego and my girlfriend and I are flying into LA 7/25 for 3 nights at DLR before driving down to SD. We are east coasters and WDW regulars. This is my girlfriend's first trip to California. We are staying at the Grand Californian and are both very excited!!

I tried another one today, but not completely happy. Pink with a blue mickey head on my thumbs. Mickey heads just don't come out as well as I would like even though I used the head of a nail. The other nails are cute but not really Disney- pink with white dots on the tips and then tiny sparkles over the whole thing. (I love sparkles! ) Maybe some sort of princess look? I'm running out of time to figure something out.

We'll be there at the same time - diff hotel tho. I booked a room at DLH; decided to splurge as it'll prob be our only time going to Cali in the foreseeable future.

We leave Saturday! Very excited though i'm not looking forward to the crowds. This is the first time I have gone peak season in a couple of years, totally spoiled by offseason crowds.

I can totally understand that! We went Jan. of this year after having gone during the summers...what a difference! We were totally spoiled. We have decided to include off season trips for now on...but we couldn't wait any longer to see the grand re-opening of DCA!!

I am officially on vacation from work! Now to get everything ready and packed! Can't wait, so excited, have 4 days!

Oh, and the kids still have no idea. We are going to surprise them with a Disneyland gift on sunday morning just before we leave!

For dots try something more rounded, if you have a proper dotting tool for nail art perfect! If not use the head of a round-top pin or something like that. It's easier to get uniform dots that way And practice first!! Try it on paper or something to get your technique right.

We just found out that my husband is going to a conference there at the end of the month, so we're making a last minute surprise trip to DLR! The kids don't know yet, and my husband and I are so excited. My birthday is a few days before our trip, and our wedding anniversary is the day we leave, so we're sending the kids birthday invitations in the mail (Disney themed, of course), inviting them to mom's birthday party at DLR.

Got my nails ready for my trip It is hard to see but they are red sparkles. I am just going to add a Mickey head on them right before I leave, when I get my last fill. My toes will get the same treatment.
