Question of the day.... Sorry I missed yesterday. We weren't home all day.


What is your favorite Disney hotel and why?

Seeing that I've only stayed at two Disney hotels, I'd have to say Grand Floridian. It was the first Disney hotel we stayed at and we were on our honeymoon. I can't think of a better first on-property experience. The location was amazing and the grounds are just beautiful. I remember just walking around and thinking, "Wow, are we really staying here?" I know a lot of people think it is "stuffy," but as two twenty-somethings, we felt like we fit right in and never felt out of place.

I've never stayed at the Polynesian, but I'd imagine if I did, it would be right up there with GF because whenever we visit there for a meal, I don't want to leave. I love all things tiki!!!

Depressing day here.... If we had stuck with our original trip we should be crossing the FL state line about right now. Totally bummed.

Question of the day....

What are your top five favorite restaurants?

5) Grand Floridian Cafe (dinner) - Hidden Gem, deserves so much more respect then given!
4) Le Cellier - Hello pretzel bread and cheese soup!
3) Concoarse Steakhouse - R.I.P
2) 'Ohana (breakfast) - it is tradition for us
1) Cinderellas Royal Table - It is a little over priced and not the best food but... I mean, you are eating in a Castle!

Sadly, over the last few years our choices have been limited with small kids, one who has OCD related food issues. Hopefully we can start making up for that now that they are older and she is starting to eat other food.

Question of the day....

What is your favorite Disney hotel and why?

Contemporary, hands down for me. Sadly, everyone in my family hates it. I miss it.

But that means she is only there for another week and then you guys will be that much closer to Disney. Yay! Hang in there. We are all here to keep you company.



And that means mine are coming right behind you since we are one day behind you. We will all be there together.

Thanks friends, it's pretty lonely without DD.

Doing the happy dance for you! maybe that means that mine will come soon. It has to go to the TA first though so it might take an extra week. Always seems to take longer.

To all - I have something pretty funny to share with all of you friends.

I've face timed with DD a couple of times and when we connect she would turn her Ipad to show me the Landscape, City, Beaches, Friends etc.etc.. I told DD, I am happy and thanks for sharing what you can see BUT!!!!!! turn the Ipad around so I can see YOU!!!! I can look at the videos and pic's when you get back.. I WANT TO SEE YOU!!!!

DD laughs and then she tears up saying thanks for letting me go to Australia. It is a super trip. Love my DD

That is great. Glad she is having a great time and glad you get to "see" her while she is away. I am sure she is thankful for a dad like you!

Our favorite places to shop are World of Disney in DTD, Mouse Gears in Epcot, and Zawadi Marketplace at AKL. I love the stuff that is specific to the resort.

I don't think I have a favorite. We seem to just buy from wherever we are that has what we like. But I would have to say Uptown Jewelers has gotten the most money from me over the years. I always buy a watch from there.

Got our Magical Express tags today!!! So now all Mickey Mail has been received!!! Now to wait 34 more days!!!!

We leave on June 27th and will be staying at AKL till july 2nd or 3rd I believe...Then we are transferring all our luggage to Saratoga Springs Resort for the rest of our disney stay. Then we leave on July 7th. Wish I never had to leave
