July 2011 code watch?

Stayed at POP end of June 2009 and into July. They weren't there at the beginning of our trying but by the end they were everywhere. In fact we were in a room surrounded by them. It wasn't fun and had a few sleepless nights and calls to security.

Well, I was staying offsite until the summer discount code came out - we are now at the Boardwalk in a deluxe club level room - I am so excited!!!:cool1:

The YES program is an educational Youth program through Disney. Your child (and one adult) get to choose a class that you can take while you are at Disney. Through the program you can buy extremely discounted park tickets for the members of your party. I bought 7 tickets total (4 - 5 day park hoppers and 3 - 7 day park hoppers, all with water park and disney quest). The total for all 7 tickets with shipping was $1,378.96. There is a thread on the boards about it or you can check out Disney's site; The link to Disney is:

Hope this helps.
Thanks for sharing! :cloud9:

THIS IS AWESOME! A free class and discounted tickets! When did this start for individuals?

The tickets available to your group are based on your length of stay. Our choices went from a one day ticket (forgot the price) to an 8 Day Park Hopper®with 8 Additional Visits to Disney Water Parks, or DisneyQuest® Youth Market for $208.92.

I only see maximum of 5 days on the yes program. How are you getting 8 days? Am i missing something? thanks

When you start registering it asks for your vacation start date and end date. If you are there longer than 6 days it will give you longer length of stay tickets. You can put in the information on the website and find out what you need to know before purchasing. It sums it up before making sure you want to charge your credit card..

Once you actually go through the process of selecting the class you want and start the check out process you will get a page that allows you to choose the tickets you want - there are more options there than listed in the informational pages. And, I saw a few post where people even wanted more days and they called and got them, although I did see one, where the person said they called and where told there weren't longer packages.

r_mccool do you know the answer to this? It was on another post....'

the website says the tix are valid 7 days prior to arriving date and 7 days after departure date.

I am kind of confused with that. Please help me understand

Say we arrive on june 13th and depart june 23rd. The program is on 22nd. How would that work with the tickets? In other words can we use up all the days before the program on 22nd since we leave on 23rd or is it 7 days prior to program date?

Thanks

I got tired of waiting for AP rates and decide to go ahead and book cabins with AAA rates. I was surprised that I got 20% off room rate, we were able to save over $600 for a 9 night stay.
I will still look for AP rates, as I want dining plan, but if not at least we will have our room.

Thanks for the info! Unfortunately, I don't have any kids (just the 18 I teach everyday :teacher:)

Same here - We love POP in the summer!!

We are staying again in July with fd...:cool1: Our friends are coming with us this year that have never been to Disney so hope they like it...:rolleyes1

Are you going again in the summer?

Sorry just saw this, I am not able to get on the boards too often.

The tickets are good for seven days prior to your arrival and 7 days after your departure date. So for the question asked the tickets would be good from 6/6 to 6/30, doesn't really have anything to do with the day of the class.

Hope this helps. :thumbsup2

Hi Everyone:) I've only been on the DIS boards for a few months so not sure what a code watch is. My family and I are going with other members of our family in July 2011 and already booked. My family and I are DVC Members and love AKL and PORR!! Not so much CBR but I'd take it to visit the mouse if I had to!
We will be staying at Port Orleans for the 2nd time and can't wait! Love the setting and Boatwrights for breakfast :) Anyone living the magic july 15-22? 88 days...I think...till we visit Mickey and the Gang:wizard:

I just called for our 4th of July trip at POP - the AP rates are out!

Just got our AP rate for July 30-Aug 1. We were using the deluxe code prior with 30% off, but we did save an additional $40, its better than nothing!
