I received my information package today (excursions etc). I already knew what it was yet it was still exciting. The real excitement is when the docs arrive! Still no cabin number!

That is crazy that they don't allow children under 5. I guess the boat operators are the ones that determine that. We booked the excursion through DCL maybe we'll see you there.

We are on the 8:15 departure for Trunk Bay. Is yours the same? Would love the company.

Hi Susan....we are 8:15 departure too. That will be nice.

You guys really scare me....you are so organized, knowing what you are doing:scared1::scared1::scared1::scared1::scared1::scared1:

At this point, I know I'm going to be on that ship on July 18, hopefully one of the first ones at the terminal, but after reading all your posts, I don't think I'm gonna win this challenge:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

AND, I'm meeting up with the group (thanks bigAWL) on Thursday at SSR and EoSandwich. :woohoo::woohoo:

I'm the kind of person, just tell me where I should be, when, and I'll be there:yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay:

Hey everyone this is Charleen. I really want to thank everyone for the warm welcome!!!

Joann#2 - I talked with my Dsis and she is still a disboard lerker. I have encouraged them to join so they can post. She is going to talk with Abigail about the e-mailing. She thought that would be really fun for the girls to have a friend before they get to the ship.

I have a question...We are CC members but the rest of the travel group is not. The way I read the reservation message, I would be able to book excursions for everyone. It will NOT let me. Now I think everything will be booked and we will not be able to do anything as a group. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Nancy, thanks for updating the list!!!:flower3:

I am planning on "per cabin" as well... ours is very FAMILY oriented!

Ours is also one per cabin. We will customize each one to be appropriate for the family in that cabin (or at least I'll try! :thumbsup2)

Sent you a PM.

We planned on one FE gift per cabin as well.

Isn't it odd that we never got an excursion booklet???? Especially that as CC club members we booked our excursions already???

Also, been reading about dinner times. It seems that they were staggerd based upon your rotation. Now it seems that the more recent cruises are having dinner at either at 5:45 or 8:15. Anyone else hear about this??

I read the same thing somewhere about dinner times... it really only affects you by 15 - 30 minutes. There was a HUGE thread on the cruise boards about the food! Everybody has an opinion! We are just excited to be going on the cruise!!

We received ours too... It makes the mail exciting!! I find myself looking for DCL envelopes :lovestruc

When we went last year it our dinner was at 8:15 and the other rotations were staggered 5 or 10 minutes (8:05 or 8:10) and the year before our dinner time was 8:30. Also, this happened the first ever for us. We were late for dinner because it was the third night and we figured we already dined at L and AP so we assumed we were in PC, NOT, we were back in AP. Guess we should have paid more attention when our waiter was telling us about the next day :guilty:

Do you think it was because they didn't have all the excursions in place and wanted to get the rest of the stuff out so they just omitted it?? We really missed not having it in the booklet.

Are your reservations linked? That might make a difference, otherwise I'm not sure how that works. We've booked 4 staterooms, but the we, the repeat cruisers, are booked separately in each of the 4 staterooms plus the four reservations were linked. Our TA who is very familiar with DCL, knew how to arrange it to our best advantage. The downside is that we'll have a bit of a hassle officially re-arranging assignments and charge accounts once onboard. Of course, my parents just think I'm going to turn over "my" key to their balcony stateroom. See if I give it up without a fight :lmao: I think a quick call to DCL might be in order!

Maybe we'll get a 2nd package???!!!!! :woohoo::yay:

Hi everyone! Just wanted to let ya'll know i've not disappered into cyber space but have instead been in the hospital. My diabetes went a little crazy and messed alot of things up but after four days in ICU and one on a regular floor they sent me home.

As for excursions and everything all we booked was the tram ride to paradise point we decided to see the islands on our own because we did not book at midnight we did not get Palo but are still trying. Our FE gifts are one per a family with something for everyone in there. Now I'm going to try and catch up on all these pages i've missed.

Lissa - glad you are feeling better!

Wow, glad you are on the mend, Lissa. Don't worry about Palo. You can almost always get a slot when you board. If not, check back each day for cancellations.

mickeymo---Our rooms are connected but we did NOT have one of our family in each room. That is a great idea. We talked with someone at DCL and they said that we are the only ones that could book our excursions. On Monday the reservation system finally let us into reservations for Palo, but there was nothing available that would fit into our schedule.

I know DCL wants to give CC members some perks, but it seems like new cruisers are getting left out for excursion & Palo options. We will continue to try to get them but I don't expect to get them together as a family...

It does seem that they "hold" space for embarkation day because on 2 separate occasions we have been able to get our Palo reservations with other family members
that previously were unavailable. Hope that helps. We just went there 1st when we boarded.

*** Remember that there is another window of opportunity opening at the
75 day mark.

Also, still looking for a few friends to do another DIS group brunch.
Just let me know.
