Yep, the Magnetic paper comes in 8.5 x 11. Our Staples was out of it yesterday, so I need to try someplace else. Arg.

Regarding Castaway Cay. We generally find a spot on the beach and hang out. The DDs will have some sand toys and they like to play. It is also a great way for them to meet other kids. :) On our last cruise, we did the Castaway Ray Stingray excursion. Not sure if they put an age limit on it, but that might be an option, as it was very laid back. DD8 (7 at the time) did no want to get near the rays, so she just observed from the beach. The CM's were great with everyone, and kept her occupied as we did some snorkeling.

We also rented bikes. They say they rent for an hour, but there really is no time check. It will be a little hotter this time, so we may pass on that. But they did have bicycles with the kiddie seat in the back.

We found the game room to be fun too. I think there are some things to entertain a little one.

I just checked online and the Stingray excursion is for 5 and up. It seems like everything to do is for 5 and up. Oh well, it will just be a fun beach day. We did a Stingray excusion with them last year in the Bahamas and DD just turned 3 and she was allowed. The kids loved it!

The last time we were at Castaway Cay we attemted to go to the beach but a big thunder storm came as soon as we got settle. Being from Florida, I don't mess with mother nature, so we went back to the boat. The skies cleared and my DH took DD to explore the island. Me and DS stayed on the boat and enjoyed the pool (all to ourselves) and stuffed our faces with ice cream. I guess you can say I'm looking forward to going back and checking things out.

I need to start getting our door signs started. I think I'm going to make them up like a scrapbook page. One for DS and one for DD. I will have to put that on my to do list. :tink:

What is everybody doing at Castaway Cay? When looking through everything there is nothing we can do as a family because Savannah is only 3. I'm just thinking it's going to be a beach day. Any ideas?:

As of now, we do not have any definite plans. I am going to wait till we board to worry about any decisions. This is our first visit, so anything will be exciting. I would not mind renting bikes, or just having some beach time. The boys are all old enough to enjoy their own things, so we will see if they would like to do something planned.

I also have to shop for clothes for the boys for the more dressy nights. I just do not know how I will pack all this stuff. Do they need ties etc? Is "formal" night a bit less formal for kids? My sons never wear dressy clothes. The oldest should be set, since he just graduated, but the other 2, yikes. Well, I guess it is another shopping day for me. This is okay, because I usually come home with something new and exciting for me too.

We generally have a great beach day at Castaway Cay. Noah usually goes to the kids area for a little bit - this give dh and I some nice quiet floating time.

As for ties - I had great luck at Kohl's if you have that store (there's not much on their website).

When we were at Castaway Cay in October 2004, a storm was rolling in. This is us just as we got off the ship.

No thunder, so we kept going. Just when we got off the tram at the family beach, the skies opened up. The family gave up and went back to the ship, but I wanted to go exploring. The trams stopped running (the weather was too bad for them to drive), so I walked down to Serenity Bay. When I arrived, there were about 10 people there huddled in the food area. They looked at me like I was the creature from the Black Lagoon. Did I mention I was wearing a life vest and was carrying my snorkel gear? I think they thought I swam in.

I grabbed a soggy chicken sandwhich, and after a bit, the trams started running again. Everyone left Serenity Bay, including the CMs on the tram. I made a stop at She Sells as they were closing up shop. In essence, they were closing everything and moving back to the ship.

Even though the weather was bad, I had a great day. When I finally returned to the ship, I found my family in the movie theatre. Ironically, after everything had moved back to the ship, the skies cleared up. By that point, we were happy to be on board, so we did not get off again. The few people who did get off had practically empty beaches to enjoy.

:rotfl: It's a girl thing.......and I want some support from you ladies out there. :)

I cannot believe we are 25 days and counting. Is this just flying by for you all or what? I hope the week on the ship doesn't go by too quickly. I think the idea of braving weather, as the gales did, to explore CC is a great thing....if safe. I told my DH that I will not let anything, unless absolutely impossible to do, stop me from exploring and experiencing the ship, islands, etc.

I really do wish I could live a week without sleep, but I guess that is asking too much. :confused3

Anyway, my excitement is getting uncontrollable.
:cool1: :goodvibes  :cheer2: :woohoo: :dance3: :yay: :bounce:

I was just reminded of a question I wanted to ask.

Are any of you taking the bus (Disney) from MCO to the port?

We will be arriving at the airport at about 10 am and heading to the port. Of course our luggage will be taken care of.

The question I have is about the luggage tags. We will be, of course, placing the Disney tags on our luggage, so they can be picked up by Disney.

My concern is that these tags will fall off or something from Va Beach to MCO. I know how they throw the luggage around. What can we do to assure that this does not happen. Is there a way to mark the luggage as a secondary way of identifying where it is to go?

One of my biggest fears is not getting my luggage. Thankfully, I have learned that we will all share luggage so no one person loses theirs.

I'm on your side girl!!!
Shopping sounds like a great idea!!! I think I may have to skip everything else today and head over to the mall. Thanks for the terrific idea.

On our last cruise we didn't worry to much as to what Zach wore. we put him in a pair of Kaiki pants and a polo shirt ever night. Zach is actually the one that wants to get dressed up this time. Hooray for me, maybe I can get a really nice formal picture of our family. I just don't know what to put him in the other nights. I really don't want to buy too many pairs of long pants since he never wears them. Can the kids get away with shorts in the dining rooms?

My excitement has to come to a stop for a little while. The stress is going to begin.....I have family coming down from CT on Friday and they will be here for 10 days. Then the day they leave my DH's family is coming into town until they leave on their Disney Cruise on the 8th. (it's a long story as to why we aren't going on that cruise) So, can you please tell me when I can get anything done?

Ok, it's time for the mall. :thumbsup2

Kohl's, did you say Kohl's? I LOVE that store!!!! The sad thing is that the closest one is 1 1/2 hours away. :sad2: Anytime I go up to CT to visit the family I live at Kohl's. I'm happy to say that they are building one only a mile from our house!!!! :thumbsup2 :Pinkbounc  :cheer2: It should be up and running by Thanksgiving.

I guess it's going to be a beach day at Castaway Cay. :woohoo:

What a great picture! That's exactly what it looked like when we were there. This time it will be sunny, sunny, sunny.... :sunny: Ok, a few puffy clouds to give us some relief from that brutal sun.

You need the mall girl!! THat, I believe is just the therapy you need. I will be praying for you. Wow!! I thought I had it bad. My busyness is still going, but my DH and DS's will all be leaving for a week in Ohio on Friday!! I will recover then from the party and visitors.

I have not told any of my friends I will be alone that weekend for fear they will twist my arm and MAKE me go on a GNO (girls night out). I would hate to submit to all that. Really, I need to get the house cleaned. I may be able to squeeze in a day of shopping and fun.

Here's a pic of DD on pirate night. She was watching the show in amazement until her little meltdown since it was so late.

Are there any other 3 or 4 year olds in our group? DD loves making friends but has a hard time being left in the club. Maybe if she met a few kids prior she would be ok about going.

The house all to yourself!!! Are you kidding me? Forget the cleaning and get out shopping. You wouldn't need to twist my arm, get out there for that GNO. Now that is what I call therapy! Can we trade spaces?

Seriously, I need to get off this computer now. Hope everyone has a great day! :teeth:

I love the braid. That is too cute. I have all boys, so no braiding for them. I would like to do it just to say I did, but my hair is pretty fine. Not sure if it would be a good idea.

Unfortunately, my boys are all well beyond 5 years. I miss that age. I think 5 through 7 was my favorite time with my boys. Then they turn into little monsters, and I will not even begin to scare you with the preteen hormonal, miserable, unbearably grumpy times.....ooops, I went to far. :) The good news is that after 5 or 6 years, your real child does come back.

I hope your daughter gets to meet someone early on, so she will be comfortable with the club.

WOW, do I feel better!!! Just finished a shopping trip to the mall. Spent way too much money, but hey it was worth it. I didn't find anything for myself, but the deals I found for the kids!! I actually found a Pirates of the Caribbean shirt for DS for Pirate Night. I also had luck finding him a tie. I could have kept going but DD was with me and I didn't want to push my luck because she was actually being a princess.

DD had her hair braided in Nassau last year. We were surprised that she kept it in. She has already informed me that she will get her hair braided again. She is only going to be 4, but she thinks she's a teenager. GOD HELP ME when she actually becomes a teen. I really think DS has already started the hormonal change and he's only going to be 9. Maybe we will get it all over early and when they are teenagers they will be the perfect little angels. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I actually had another question, but as I sit here typing I forgot. I'm sure it will come back to me later.

Just thought I send a little note to say hello.

The preperation continues as my poor Son still sits in the hot :teacher:

school

Is my son the only one left in school the kids do not get out until the 28th of

June. The only good thing is by the time he gets out there will be less then

14 days until our trip :woohoo:

Wow, are you saying she was 3 years old and sat to have her hair braided....someone pulling and tugging at her hair. She must be a princess.

Hmmm, my smiley's changed on me. I am all confused now. Some cute ones I have never seen before.

I did not go shopping today, but I took my son to see Cars. I was going to wait until the cruise, but I did not feel like going to the beach today. The movies seemed like a good alternative. Very cute movie BTW. I really enjoyed it.

I will get some shopping done this weekend. I am hoping to find some of those deals too. I have a Kohls within walking distance, so I think I will check out the ties there. Maybe I can find a POTC shirt too. I need something too for Pirate night. pirate:

Hi anskey,

Wow, still in school. My kids have been out a month already and are set to go back August 3rd. I really dislike the school schedule here in Florida. We will be getting back from the cruise and the kids will start school a week and 1/2 later.

I noticed I've been getting more and more smiles too. I think the more posts the more smiles you get. :sail:

:tink: She loves getting her hair braided. Well, if someone other then me is doing it!

I don't know if I can wait to see "CARS" until the cruise. I think I'm more excited to see it then the kids. My neighbor and her kids really enjoyed it too.

I did a little more shopping online at Disneyshopping.com I bought a POTC t-shirt for my DH and one for myself. I believe there is also a tropical night on the cruise so I picked up the kiddies some disney hawaiian shirts. So I'm thinking that all I really need to do is work on those signs for our door and pack. Wishful thinking.

Another one with a Kohl's. I'm jealous!!!!
