We are awaken early this morning by the engines docking. This was really the only time that the engines were really noticeable, probably since it was so early. It was sad knowing we were back at Port Canaveral. When we turn on the Bridge Cam we see are docked and see the Mariner at dock as well.

We get up and do all the checks for missing items and walk up to Deck 4 to walk around 1 more time. Since we had late seating we get to eat breakfast at 8am. If you have early seating you have to eat at 6:45am. Since last nights dinner was at Animators Palette we eat there for breakfast. We all get the express breakfast, which consisted of bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs and hash browns. After we eat we give Faisel/Ramsay/Kapoor their tips. I really felt that our Head Server earned his tip with us. We had a really strange things with our dining rotation (Explained below)

We deposited our survey and walked to midship and the boys and I go down the elevator one last time and say goodbye to Captain Henry. At 9:00am We are now off the boat going to pick up the luggage. We see a porter and ask for help, the luggage is all ready there and easy to find. We goto Border Control and as we try to get the passports out, the lady just says you are fine have a nice day. That was it. She didn't want to see the passports or birth certificates. Out to the car and then out of the parking lot and the trip is over. On the way back home via the Bee Line we saw the Disney Busses heading to port, thinking about all the happy people. When we were going to the port, we saw the Disney Busses coming from there and we thought about all the sad people.

We have decided that we will Cruise Again, and only on Disney.

Notes:
1-Dining Rotation. When we booked, we could only get late seating. We waitlisted for early, but after I read these boards and found out that late seating was better, I removed us from the waitlist. But when we got our Dining tickets, we were early. I went to change them to late. But Late was full, so we had to be waitlisted. About 10 minutes later, we talked it over and decided to just stay at early, so we went back and removed our names from the late wait list. They said that was fine. However we got a call later that night that we had been changed to late. That night we went to PALO, so we never went to the dining room. The next day our Head Server called us and said to see him. They had to change our table around becuase of other changes at dining the night before. It was confusing, but in the end it all worked out.
2.Late Seating: Our boys were 6 and 10, and they did very well at late seating. DS6 did fall asleep during dessert the last night, but that was okay. We fed them at Plutos, since that is all they usually eat. DS10 did try some new foods at the restaurants, but mainly at the kids food. The shows are more important for them to enjoy. AND you get to leave the ship later.
3.We never experienced Chair Hogs on the ship. There were always lounge chairs or tables available at the Mickey Pool.
4.Debarkation was a breeze. As I said, Border Patrol just rushed us by, and picking up luggage was simple with the color coded areas.
5.I wish I would have worn my Lime Green Pin. I know that some of the people from this board were at the same place as us at the same time, it would have been cool to say Hi. In Fact 'DisneyAgain' and us sat at the same table at the boarding lunch.
6.We are now spoiled. Even though this was our first cruise, and never been on another cruise line, We can see the Disney Difference.

My parents and DS age 5 were on your cruise. They had so much fun and they are seasoned cruisers. It was the first time for my son and he hasn't stopped talking about it. They had the late seating when they booked and my mom did not waitlist for the early seating. When she arrived they had automatically changed them to early seating. I think either would have worked for DS as he is an extremely well behaved child (has nothing to do with me, I was just blessed) He loved Castaway Cay best and enjoyed using his spiderman snorkeling gear he had just gotten for his birthday. This trip was his birthday present from his grandparents! Rough Life
Thanks for posting. It was great to read what other cruisers thought of the trip. At age 5 some of the details get left out. My parents were to busy video taping and picture taking to catch all the other stuff! They brought the navigators home with them and I am using them to convince others to do a family reunion 4 day cruise in 2006!

Thanks for a fantastic trip report, George. You seemed to have an awesome cruise.:D Your description has gotten me totally excited for our upcoming Wonder cruise. Thanks for taking the time to post. :sunny:

I'm sorry to see your TR come to an end, George!
