JTA signup and H&V breakfast

My DS' #1 request for our upcoming trip is JTA, so I'd like to maximize our chances of signing up. I managed to get an 8:20 H&V breakfast on a regular 9am opening day--and DD5 will enjoy this, so it seems like a win-win. Is it still possible to sign up ahead of that breakfast? What time should we arrive? Thanks!

We were there the first week of Dec, and we're able to sign up before our 8:20 reservation. It took about 3 minutes. We got to the gates around 7:50.

I plan to do the same. We have an 8:15am booked in June.

Yep we did it in November and plan to do the same in May and November again.

We did the same thing last June. We arrived about 7:45AM at the gates, we were let in within minutes,
went to sign up for JT, then still checked in for HV ADR at 8:05 for our 8:15ADR.
We were a few families from the from of the line - still only took minutes...
Definitely do the PPO ADR to maximize your shot - and to be able to choose your time for JT!

You can sign up for JTA before PPO's now? The last time I was there we had to leave from our PPO when they opened the gates and go over to sign up.

Yes, it's been like this for at least a year now.
