We are staying at AKL next week [ :bounce: ] and I am just now seeing posts about 'junior chef'. I need more information on that!! I found one site that said a child could be junior chef for breakfast or dinner, but no mention of 'how to' :(

Anyone?

When we went to breakfast last week, after we were seated the hostess came over and asked us if our son(2) would like to be a Jr.Chef and explained what it was. It was really cute, we had never heard of it before that.

Have a great trip!

My oldest, who was 5 at the time, was the jurnior chef the first time we went to Boma, 2 years ago, they brought her a cookie and she got to decorate it, they also brought everything for her younger sister, which was great.....
We have been back, but they have never been picked again, and we have never seen another child be a Jr. Chef.

My youngest niece was chosen to be a Jr. Chef at Boma for breakfast, because a child previously chosen had fallen ill. She was so excited! She got a chance to wear a kid's chef's coat and hat, and assisted the Pastry Chef with baking in the kitchen. For her efforts, she was awarded a certificated signed by the Pastry Chef (& Mickey Mouse)...with a SURPRISE: when we all returned from a day at AK, there was a cookie display (including zebra domes...YUM!) for both of my nieces, with their names written in chocolate! :p It was so pretty, we took pictures of the spread! :D All of us went to find the chef and personally thank him for the magic!
