Journey back to ME!!- I'm getting bugged!!

Hang in there, Julie. No one could possibly manage all that you do and still be perfect about what they eat. At some point it becomes all about convenience and what you can grab on the run.
I know you will be great at your 1/2 marathon. You won't have any problem at all doing it, with or without your WW group. Hopefully, you will find that the people who are not the elite or the competitive ones at the front of the pack will be very friendly. There is usually a feeling of "we are all in this together". Good luck and have fun! :cool1: Can't wait to hear all the details. :goodvibes:
I am hoping things will calm down for you soon. Hugs, kiddo.

Well, the bug is back, even though it wouldn't act up for them. DS17 cycle is in the shop, so I'll have to take him in - hopefully it will be done late today and won't cost a fortune. I didn't get packages mailed yesterday, but they're in the car and I'll do it when I take DS17 to work. DS20 won't even get out of bed until around 2 - 3 and then won't go look for jobs.....SIGH! Other than that, it's pick up the house & get Ebay stuff listed today. I have so much and time is running out!!

Food Journal Day 19:

2 lt em (2)
ff chz(1)
egg beaters(1)
sf jam(1)
Soup(4)
pasta(2)
sauce(1)
meatball(5)
cheese(3)

80 oz decaf green tea, 32 oz cf diet coke, 32 water

It was 34 here this morning, so I just keep drinking hot tea in this huge mug - decaf green candy cane lane. I'm avoiding coffee as it triggers the craving for sweets. I may float away, though!! I got out DH heated throw and put it in the recliner Max always sits on so the pups can stay warm. His poor little bottom lip was quivering and his teeth were actually chattering this morning. It was so cute, but so pathetic!

Great job on doing the 1/2 marathon next Sunday! Let us know how it goes. I'm a stress eater too and cookie dough is one of my favorites. Hang in there! :cheer2:

Did you say 34 as in 34 degrees?!?!?!?! :scared1: Every year I know that colder weather is coming and that it's not a surprise that it is coming, but it's a "shock" to the system all the same. (Did that make sense? )

I hope that all of your car and motor cycle situations are straightened out...... :goodvibes

Good for you for doing the 1/2 this Sunday! You will do a great job Julie! :cheer2:

Have a great weekend! :sunny:

Yep, Tracy! 34 Degrees! And DH hasn't closed up our swamp cooler and turned on the heat yet. Basically a swamp cooler is a big water pan with a round drum that soaks up water and the cooled air is blown in the house....SO, my house vents are open to the outside air. BRRRRRRR!!!!!!! DH is gone this weekend and Next, so it will be AT LEAST November 4 until I have heat.

Poor pups are freezing!

37 today - slightly warmer - Oh boy!!

Got up a bit early to go walk w/ the WW crew. They start at 6:30, but wait til 6:35 to see if anyone comes. I got there at 6:24, waited til 6:50. Their cars were there, but not them. I walked a ways, but not comfortable walking in the pitch black, alone on the edge of a hill in the desert. So, I left a note on 1 of their cars asking again(left the note at the meeting place Wed) for them to call me w/ where they are going to meet up for the 1/2. I'm not holding my breath and I'm beginning to think I"ll be doing this alone - much like everything else I do. Oh well.....I will do this! Just disappointing!

Today I need to do Ebay (what else is new), get snacks/drinks ready for DH & DD who leave at 5 a.m. tomorrow.

Food Journal 10/20 -

20 oz decaf green tea

You're right Julie, busy does not even begin to describe your day :grouphug: I am sorry for your frustrations. Keep your head up, it will get better.

I am with you on the cold, we have been pretty chilly here too. We got snow on Tuesday and then on Wednesday our high was only low 40's! So we have been trying to keep the furbabies warm too!!! They have no hair (very little) so they just sit and shiver!!

Keep up the good work! You are doing a great job!

Have a great weekend!

Hi Julie, cold in the mornings her in Colo. too. Way too early in my opinion for this sort of weather! That really stinks about the WW walking group. Somebody needs to call and let you know what the deal is. I would be severely peeved if I got up early, got there on time and they were gone! Very smart not to walk in the dark alone. Keep drinking that tea, its good for you! Hope you have a nice weekend!

Hi, Julie! I am continually amazed that you are able to do as much as you do and then still find time to exercise, eat relatively well, journal, AND visit other journals!! Your energy is amazing!!

GOOD LUCK on the half tomorrow!! I'm sure you will do well! Your walks have been really good!

Don't give up!! This is a journey and we get to our goal one day and one step at a time! You can do it! Keep up the good work! :cheer2: :cheer2:

I'm BACK!!! Yes, I did the 1/2, Yes, I made it - 3:13:13 or 14:44/mi. Report in the events/competition section.

Once again I've slipped in posting food, but I've been behaving, just busy!

I'm totally worn out due to lack of sleep (thanks dogs) and my leisurely Sunday Stroll (yeah, right), but I had 1.5 packs of sport jelly beand 3 pts and egg beaters lt em and ff chz(3) until my italian shrimp salad I picked up on the way home(10). I'm not counting 5 dixie cups with a dribble of gatorade in them.

Way to go, Julie!!! :thumbsup2 I am so proud of you! :grouphug: I can't wait to read your report! :goodvibes

Relax and enjoy the rest of the weekend! :goodvibes

Woo-hoo! Way to go ! Yea-rah! :cheer2:

Those are great times too!

Now have a nice relaxing week!

:hippie:

Great job on the half, Julie!!!! :cheer2: :cool1: :cheer2: :cool1: :cheer2:

Have a great week and stay warm! :sunny: :cold:

Well, I made myself go to WW this morning. Up 1.6, but I also changed from my gym shorts tank top to sweat pants & t shirt for winter, so that is at least part of it. Oh well....it's a journey, right???

My DSis & DNiece33 are joining WW today, so maybe it will help me out a bit even tho they're in FL. I need all the accountability I can get!!

The new OLD bugs are home. This weekend he will begin deciding what needs done on the Baja - 1961 and ragtop. Really cool! I told him he needs to aim for a 90 day turnaround on it if possible. They are both in even better shape than we had thought. Hopefully our neighbors won't complain, but one of them threw Dog Doo-Doo on my front porch because the thought it might be from one of our dogs. Nice neighbors!!

DH leaves in the morning for Iowa. He won't be happy, but goes to Chicago Midway, then to catch Amtrak - hey, I managed to get his RT for under $140 total air & train vs. flying him into Iowa for over $700. Deal with it!

DD and I will try to relax, eat at places we like - IHOP is one must do and also Flying Star Cafe, but that one will end up a dessert only meal (and probably use my points for a week!) Oh well.....

I need to up the liquids a bit more as it's colder now and I tend not to drink as much. I also need to get back to the gym I'm paying $90/month for a family membership to.

Have a great weekend all!!

Food 10/26 -

yogurt(2)
tortilla chips(9)
peach mango salsa(2)
m&m's(5)
French onion soup(4)
grilled ff swiss on lt bread(2)

40 oz decaf green tea 32 oz water

OK, so I'm still craving salt! Not a very nutritious food day, but I have 2 pts left for something decent - probably some protein. I WILL not go over points!! I WILL NOT, and you can't make me! (unless of course, you bring me ice cream or chocolate!!)

Well, TOM decided to make a surprise appearance - guess that explains the salt/munchy cravings & the weight

Hi Julie,

Did you say one of your neighbors threw doggie doo doo on your porch? That's not very nice! :furious:

It's funny because when I saw the .20 eBay listing day, I thought of you too! I don't know about you, but I am getting super frustrated with eBay right now! I have 30 auctions up and nothing yet......

I hope you have a great weekend! :sunny:

Yep, Tracy, they did! This huge 'pile' had been in their yard (all rock) for over a week, so they decided it must be from my dogs (keep in mind the pile was 1/2 the size of MAX!) and they scooped it and rocks and deposited it on my front door mat. DS20 came home & thought DD was collecting rocks again. So I called DH, he wrote them a very polite letter and took it over to the lady (the guy is really strange and once threw a pile of Doo on DH car hood b/c he thought it was ours) and pointed out that our big dog never leaves our fenced yard, never has and our little ones go out only on a leash. There are dogs across the street that run constantly. She then went to all the neighbors with his note and for about 3 weeks every time I would walk the little ones out in our yard on a leash she would come out and shout profanity at me. Wonderful neighbors! Reason #432 why I hate NM!

Anyway......

DH is at the airport and finally reading his itinerary, calling every 5 minutes with questions. Not sure why as I have it as specific as instructions for walking from the Tram stop to the Train.

DS20 is supposedly going to have me take him to turn in a couple of applications today and a friend and I want to also go to the casino for a bit. Hopefully my $20 will grow - assuming we get to go!

Not sure about food today. It's really cold here (just under 60 INSIDE my house) and no heat! It's a mac & cheese kind of day (soup & grilled cheese was yesterday), but I won't tempt myself. I'm thinking maybe I'll pick up something and DD and I will watch a movie OR we'll go to Flying Star for our 'dessert dinner', then get a movie.

Tomorrow DD fences at noon, DS17 works 5 a.m. - 2:15p. He has to get a bunch of school submitted, so we'll likely come home right after fencing. I'm hoping we can go to the zoo or aquarium (or both) on Sunday. I'm rejoining even though it's $100/yr for the 4 of us + 1 floating guest, you can go to zoo, aquarium or botanical gardens, so it is usually worth it. Monday & Tuesday DD has no school, so we will likely shop & putz around. DS17 is usually of on Monday's, too, so at some point I"ll have to be able to help him with school.

Hopefully the gym will happen on Monday. It's been way too long!!

I have a bunch of entertainment book coupons about to expire, so I'm going to try to use them on food while DH is gone. Easier with our mixed up schedules than cooking and no one being here to eat it.

Food 10/27 -

yogurt(2)
2 pt ham sandwich(2)
pretzel bar(2)
Chocolate(10) - could have been much worse!
Taco bell nachos(10)
2 bites sinless sf ff coldstone ice cream (1)

12 oz decaf sf instant mocha(1), 40 oz decaf green tea

Off to Ebay a bit - yes, Tracy, Ebay is SLOW right now, but it usually is right before Halloween. Hopefully it will pick up! I loved all your 'rewards'. Do you do Pinecone? It's about the only one I do - don't make much, but it's rather fun.
